    I've been Money Tipped!
    Guys

Although I live in Coventry, can someone please tell me where exactly Cross Point Tesco's is? I'm not familiar with the name. (i've only been here for 4yrs on and off with work, from Liverpool really) so do please bear with me if some of my questions sound a bit dumb..:o

Come off Jct 2 of M6, head into Cov city centre on the A4600, and Cross Point Tesco extra is on your left. Take the 1st exit on the next roundabout and follow it round to get into the store.

If you get to Asda and McDonalds you've gone too far.

And when you get to Cross Point Tescos, aask at Customer Services for a booklet which shows where all the Tescos are in the country - it has maps showing each store, whether its an Extra etc etc. Great for if you're struggling to find any others;)
  • Thanks for your help Guys, know I know where it is. Although it must be fairly new cos I thought that was Walmart or Woolies ...I know it as Walsgrave.

It used to be a Big W. Not sure when it became a tesco - about a year ago maybe?
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

No, it was well established when I did my burger/beef/chips CC points run last year in July 05...those were the days of ultra cheap holidays. Wonder if tesco will be doing a similar promo this year?:D

Seem to remember Oct 04 being the change over...not that it makes a difference as they gave me stroppy R+Rs then and are still getting stroppy about giving them today.

    Just Back from Tesco's.
    Picked up a Pink Sony E005pc 2 GB MPS player @ £79.97
After checking my receipt in car i had noticed i was charged £99.97.
Went back in to CS Desk, i followed the girl to show her the error.

On the Shelf it had the box Pink 2gb Mp3, below is was also another sign for 2GB and below the price of £79.97.

She said it belonged to the one next to it, but it clearly stated a Black MPS not pink.

Of she went and spoke to someone and came back, she said it should have been the 1gb that was but in that place. But looking round i could not see a SEL for this pink 2GB.

After discussing my options, she could only refund the item or swap it over for the 1GB.

This was a clear mis-price, i got my money refunded back onto card, receipt is marked as returned, but i was refused to keep the product!

Any ideas what to do now?
Leave it or should i phone CS HQ?

    Thanx
But first, the most asked question:

Q "Is anything worn under your kilt???"

A "No. Everything is in perfect working order Thank You!!."

R&R should have applied but then again posession as they say is 9/10's of the law, had you kept the item and then battled it out with HO they probably would have caved in but are not likely to tell you "sure they were wrong just pop back in and they will give you a free one!"

  • Firstly, make a note of date/time of day/Names of Customer Service Assistants

Then phone HQ and report it, get the name and extension number/direct line (if poss) of the person you speak to. Relate your full story and then tell him whilst you where debating this you read the sign about their policy and threw that at the sales assistants. Be firm but polite. See what he says. IF no joy, threaten you will call in the local trading standards to see what they would make of false advertising to dupe the customer. I'm sorry but I'm not 100% sure, but this is what I would do in your circumstances. :)

The jars with the yellow label stating 75p off seem to be scanning at £4.43 - jars with "trinny & susannah" labels scanning at £5.18.

    HTH.

Most of mine had no price flash on them perhaps that's where the glitch is, I didn't try any with the price flash on as I suspected the barcoding would have been different on these. It looks like it may be just the generic labelling that is the one kicking up the error.
