Each misprice satisfies the "Grab it while you can" criteria as each is relatively short lived, the discussion thread is here to avoid clogging up the misprice thread with peoples tales of harrassment, intimidation and on occasion physical abuse meted out by the tatood fattyFour guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
As for my post being a "tirade" it hardly qualifies for rant status let alone tirade! Come back with that one when I post a few thousand words.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0

I am a bit confused and would like someone to enlighten me!
This may sound really syupid nut how do you know if you have been charged the wrong price?
For example, i have read a lot of the £ per kg prices are different on shelf to label, do you write them down as you do your shop then check them at home or what?
Please help, as i would really like to check i am being charged right.
I only do one big shop every month!
You have to check this thread, maybe make a note of possible misprices and look for them. You must also check the yellow sale stickers as these are sometimes out of date - a guaranteed R+R! If the store has a scanner, you can double-check the misprice.
A lot of people on here visit several branches buying the same mispriced items in each and getting R+R in each. Once you start reading labels, shopping can take ages but it's pretty exciting getting an R+R.
Our biggest one has been a DVD recorder, we've had a freezer full of meat and enough CDs to become a mobile DJ.

Just wanted to say that I reside in Coventry too but only ever shop at the main Tesco Extra at the Ricoh Arena. Just a quick question, are some staff's attitudes to this policy worse than others depending on which store you go to in the area or are they all much of a muchness?
Ricoh CS are far lovlier than Cross Point IME. Rarely use other Tesco stores.
Ricoh can act hacked off sometimes, but to be fair to them, there is always a queue at the desk, so I think they get fed up with the sheer volume of work they're expected to do in addition to the moaning from the customers that they aren't getting served quick enough. A smile and a cheery comment does have an effect there, whereas at Cross Point, you show an ounce of personality and it's met with stony faces from most of the team.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

I know quite a few people have asked this before, and I know that I should technically get an R&R if I am charged the fullprice when there is an expired SEL, but how can I argue this? I am worried that when I go to tell the CS to get the refund, they'll say the SELs expired so its a return and refund to Tesco or nothing. What rights do I have to say they must honour their policy?
I think I would be OK if they offered me the difference, as I could argue that they concede they have overcharged me and hence must honour their policy, but if they only offer the complete refund and return to Tesco of the phone, I don't know how I can argue back. I would appreciate any ideas, as I have an item which has an expired SEL that I bought fror full price tonight?0 -

Just a brief sysnopsis of Cov
Ricoh has appears to have a number of R&R's and the CS are quite friendly
Cross Point also has a number of R&R's but not so many and CS aren't as friendly.
Cannon Park and Walsgrave both have few R&R's so never worth bothering with.
Can somebody please check Ricoh to see if the Tesco microwave in silver with grill is mispriced.0 -
Also did anyone get any joy with any phones priced today at the 10% off he higher price but scanning at the higher price?0

ben500 wrote:Yes I do! Indeed I do think they deliberately overcharge if not through device certainly through complacency, they don't enforce the r&r policy rigidly for a start and encourage staff to mislead customers, time and again they are given the opportunity to rectify a misprice yet don't take it, why? because it's more profitable not to, managers as individuals turn a blind eye to poor housekeeping in order to maintain sales targets and intimidate customers who have been illegally overcharged, soliciting the aid of the tatood fatty if they don't feel intimidating enough themselves, to the extent they treat customers as criminals if they have been foolish enough to recognise and point out they have just been ROBBED at the till, encouraging staff to cover up for them by removing evidence from shelf edges and point of sale, let's stop Pu*sy footing about over this Tesco are well aware of the amount of errors and black profit involved and are giggling their tits off over it, r&r doesn't scrape the surface of the amount of black profit gained by misleading point of sale, product misplacement (be it deliberate or accidental)0

Last week I bought 500g of rindless back bacon SEL £2.27. It went through as £2.98 and it had no price on any of the packs. Paid for my shop and checked my receipt on the way out of the store.I went back up the aisle with my trolley and there was a CS lady there. She looked for me and agreed that it looked like a misprice and told me to go to the desk where I would get a refund. I went to the desk and they tried to get out of it by saying that the bar code was slightly different, but they would refund on this occassion as a matter of goodwill I am sure they were just trying to get out of it. Can anyone explain the bar code system, but from a customer point of view I don't think we should have to scrutinise the bar codes. The SEL edge clearly said 500g tesco rindless back bacon.0
