Just looked at the above link, r & r will live on I am sure ! The on-going saga of the meat misprices has show that there are often items priced the same as the sel and some higher.0

No she is not right. You only get the 40:20 dicount if u spend over 40 pounds on shopping and still has nothing to do with the fact that you have still been mischarged. I had the same prob but stood my ground, eventually got the phone no probs.
I thought so too but don't think she was gonna back down at all so left the store. Anyway, I managed to look at the leaflet regarding this offer today and the small print says that the shopping does not include the price of the phone so perhaps there is a glitch on the tills i.e. spend a total of £40+ including mobile phones and you get £20 off anyway.
I also just returned the phone at another store and they refunded me the higher selling price of £149.97 no problems. But they asked for my clubcard confirming my address and kept the receipt, am I gonna be in trouble? :embarasse0 -
No, there is no glitch on the tills, just a case of the staff havent been briefed as per usual! A screen comes up that says 'has this person spent more than £40 on grocery shopping'. They then have to click on yes or no but they are all just clicking yes!
As for you being in trouble.....i dont think so! It was a misprice anyway so they wouldnt have a leg to stand on. When i got the Nokia i got the money back being £149.99 and they left me the £20 saving off my shopping.....doh
They must be losing out on a fortune with this 40:20 saving, lol, all for the sake of informing the staff0 -
Hi, this is my first posting so I hope it's in the right place. There seems to be just one long thread for all questions.
I found the DVD 105 model in a store with two different shelf edge label prices and although I wasn't able to scan it (there wasn't one in this store), I'm wondering what the situation is had it scanned at the higher price.
Anyone any ideas?0 -

oh it's all clear now...i can sleep peacefully tonight but still a bit miffed i didn't manage to get a free phoneoh well... btw how do you know all this, if you don't mind me asking?
the message that comes up on the screen is in plain english, surely staff don't need briefing on this or do they need to go back to school for extra english lessons?0 -

i believe you are entitled to a r+r if there are 2 SEL and charged at higher price. to be on the safe side, accompany the CS staff to your mispriced product so there's no messing around with the labels.0 -

Can i ask you all if when getting an R&R if you accompany the C.S or just wait for them to come back with it, and has anybody had the C.S change/ remove the label and come back and say correct price0 -

Definately. I learnt the hard way after a CS came back with the higher SEL and denied the lower one had been there. Stood my ground until the other CS admitted they had removed it. Got r&r eventually. No apology though!0 -

One time I was taking the CS person to where the price label was and the electrical manager ran in front of us, and whipped the SEL label out and went in the back room with it!!
The CS person of course couldn't see the SEL I was going to show her, so had to tell her she needed to go and find the manager, she complained but did eventually come back with the ripped up SEL and I got the mobile R&R'd fine!
No apologies though..0
