Just got back from Tesco after getting a free 6230i, which took A LOT of effort and standing my ground. The guy on the electricals desk told me I could have the £10 difference and that was it, but I stood my ground and demanded they honour the policy, and eventually he phoned someone and gave in! His face was a picture, you would think he was handing over his weekly pay packet!!!! I was 10 seconds away from giving in and asking for a normal refund as well! Thanks to OP.Tesco Deals Vouchers : £1500 in deals used towards Florida 2010 honeymoon and £318 towards Wedding rings in Goldsmiths - Thanks to all Tesco points savers who helped me along the way! :beer:0

1 x Nokia 6230i - £139.97 on shelf - £149.97 at desk
1 x Dyson DC07 - £179.97 on shelf - £249.97 at desk
Both above items have "offer end 19/3/02006" clearly marked in good size letters (not tiny small print that one can't see) on the Yellow sticker.
So how can one get R&R when it is clearly stated that "offer end 19/3/02006". I cannot see an argument for getting an R&R in all fairness as there is no overcharge…….. I am surprised at the Stores that do give an R&R and like to know the argument used for getting a R&R when CS points out that the offer has ended but the sticker not yet removed.
Pls. do shine some light on this?0 -

can i ask, did you got a £20 discount at the end of your receipt? i was about to get a full r+r for this phone but CS discovered that £20 had come off on my £3 grocery shopping and it should only have come off when i spent £40 and they said that i did get the phone for £139.97 + an extra £10 for me.
if not, i suppose there's a glitch at my store.0 -
"And if things don't add up ~ In the unlikely event you are charged a higher price than on the shelf or the product we will refund your money and you can keep the product"
The Shelf Edge Label should be taken off as the promotion has finished; if they take the promotional ones off on the day that the computer tills change the price theyre wouldnt be a problem.
Do you think we shouldnt get an R & R because the wrong shelf label was there?0 -
Just to let everyone know the Napolina pasta now has a new yellow offer label stating which pastas it applies to - and guess what?!? No mention of farfalle now!0

Hi madfrankie99,
i noticed your post earlier on the misprice thread, which Ipswich store do you shop at? the reason i ask is most times i go in for an r&r on misprices from the thread, Ipswich Copdock are either on the ball or i am too late! and how do you find the cs there for r&r`s?0 -

madfrankie99 wrote:I got the Dyson in the Clacton store as I was working down there, the Freecom drive was from Copdock and purely by chance I noticed the SEL was out of date! I find the CS staff in this store very offish but have always refunded
yeah, i find them like that too, and i always try to make pleasant conversation with them, but its no use, as soon as you mention the word "overcharge" they go all grumpy. :rolleyes:0 -
Its funny how they follow company policy to the letter when its in tesco's favour!! Theyre only glorified checkout girls not the finance directors!
I understand ALOT more than I care to let on

mmlh wrote:I also spotted this Nokia phone mispriced today, they were located in 2 different places; one at the end of the aisle saying £20 off when you spend £40 on shopping and the other was inside the aisle saying £139.97. I paid for it @ £149.97 and went to CS, led him to the mispriced one and was about to get a full R+R when he noticed that on my receipt, £20 was discounted and I had got the phone for the cheaper price. I argued back saying I should've been charged in £139.97 in the first place regardless of the discount so he got another CS lady to check. After a few minutes, she came back and asked me what else I had bought (just about £3 of groceries) so she said I got £20 off even though I didn't spend £40 on shopping so technically I did get £10 off the phone (same as SEL) and also £10 better off! And that she'd call it squits. I didn't know what else to say so left the store quite disappointed...Anyone know if the CS lady was correct or was she just fobbing me off?
No she is not right. You only get the 40:20 dicount if u spend over 40 pounds on shopping and still has nothing to do with the fact that you have still been mischarged. I had the same prob but stood my ground, eventually got the phone no probs.0
