Great Horton, Bradford today. I was overcharged for a CD by approx 30p.
Went to cs and they agreed - wrong label was in place.

But they offered me just the difference.

I pointed out their policy and they rang 2 managers who both said just give the difference.

I asked to speak to the manager to explain the reason.

CS then spoke to manager again and quietly offered me a full R&R.

This store has only been open a couple of weeks, and is the only one where I have ever had a problem.

They obviously try this with everyone else, so how many people are they 'conning'.

I feel a letter of complaint coming on!

Has anyone else had any problems at this store?

Addy & bb999 - no Dudes - no R&R - just hassle!

The CS lady "S**" declined to comment on the fact that I'd been overcharged!

The childcare issue was genuine - I really had to get going and cut the debate short.

PS Yeah on reading it a second time it's not crystal clear that R&R was declined - give me your thoughts.

Hi Dude.

What a nasty store.
I was lucky getting one yesterday, So you can blame me for wasting your time but its worth trying on this one.

As for the psp. store had £209 sel, box above was next model with games and scaned at £219. my box was swaped for the £209 model with no games. So they had no way of getting out of a R&R as they have sold me the £209 package for £219. They couldn't even say it was the wrong SEL. R&R no problems at all didn't have to give name or anything.

I didn't get anything about returning it and credit notes.

Good luck with Tesco HO.

I haven't seen or had any staff remove the SEL from any of the stores I have been in.

Their are STILL PSP games out there labelled at £19.94 and scanning at £19.97 - keep looking !

I was offered the 3p as a credit today in a very off-hand manner - full R + R very grudgingly given by CS after pointing out the massive sign right behind her.

Do they get punished for passing R + Rs or something ?, as she acted as if I was taking money out of HER pocket !

I'd like to wish the Tesco misprice thread a very happy birthday and thank all those who have been with us from the beginning posting their misprices and supply support to those that came behind.


And to all those out there worrying about people abusing the policy putting it at threat, take a look back to the original thread your not the first and won't be the last but one year on Tesco are still supplying us with a regular feast of overcharges along with the millions of unsavvy customers out there, who unlike ourselves wander blindly in and out of their stores every day!!


One year later no sign of any improvement in pricing intergrity or the removal of the policy which is clearly a loss leader and holds no sincerity whatsover.

Interesting to have a look at last year's thread - Hey Dude you were there right from the start!

Hope the misprices/discussion threads continue for many more birthdays (and that Mr T doesn't remove the R&R policy!). I haven't found anything for a couple of weeks but looking for misprices adds to the 'fun'... along with seeing how many extra points I can earn each shop and how many money-off coupons the kind till chaps will take!
