Glad you had fun with himself!
What shows did you end up seeing?0 -
We saw The Jersey Boys, Avenue Q, 39 Steps and Woman in Black. Avenue Q was very very funny, the muppets on acid. He really enjoyed them all.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0

Hello all. Hope everyone is well.
Apologies for the absence but last couple of weeks have been a pig. Contract terminated and I finish on Friday. Heartbroken about the contract - NO really not a pleasant place. Timing is great because shop opens in 3 weeks and poor old OH and parttime helper have been lumbered with everything.
Taking legal advice tomorrow about moving to a court eviction. Never had to do one in court and want a lawyer to do it correctly and then I can do it next time (hopefully there will never be a next time tho).
House is unside down and filthy. My bedclothes are crunchy but the boys are cracking on. Kitchen is in, wall is down, extension is up and wind and watertight.
So in short everything is moving in lots of exciting direction and as of Friday I never have to speak with fork-tongued boss ever again - hooray!!:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Nice to "see" you again
We shall have to have another movie date sometime when the chaos has receeded somewhat!0 -
That would be fabby. Once this week is over I can have my life back again.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0

Day 1 of crappy week over. She of forked tngue turned up unannounced (meant to be in London all week), saw she was sitting next to me so pointedly moved seats. There's nice positive management for you.
The guys I've been working with in Europe have emailed and called to say they'll miss me so that made me feel more positive.
And on the scarey front our shop lady came round tonight to show me the leaflets she's had printed to advertise the shop. They look really good and have a big red star on them saying we open on the 20th from 10am til 4pm. Gulp...suppose we better set up the website, getting the shop sign hung (lets skirt round planning permission is missing for a moment), work out the pricing strategy and terms and conditions. Really really good news I'm free from Friday .... oopsie:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
hi kissjen - I know what it feels like to have a contract terminated like that - hugs.
Glad that you can see the positive - and that it will help you get the shop ready.... and be around more for the family
Hugs anyway tho...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
