Cheers SH. Buyers market and they have permies to find jobs for.

    Positives are:
    1. Not touched a penny of whole contract except to pay VAT bills
    2. Leaving in time to help set shop up
    3. Worked over winter so more at home time during the nice weather
    4. Can help OH swot for the biggest exam he's ever taken
    5. Here to help move stuff round brickdust mansions
    6. Never ever have to see SheWhoSpeaksWithForkedTongue again
    7. Couple of possible bits of work in the pipeline
    8. Possible Organisational Behaviour Paper from the experience
    9. Oh oh oh don't forget that never ever have to see SheWhoSpeaksWithForkedTongue again (or have I mentioned that:rotfl:)
    10. No more stupid o'clock starts, stranded at airports and pulled up because dinner was 66p yes 66p over budget
    Negatives are:
    1. No more wages again
    2. Miss the nice folk I met but that's what LinkedIn is for
    3. Eh well eh hmmm stir fry good in canteen (struggling now)

hi KJ - I resigned from my latest contract - as was fed up with the negativity....

Sometimes you have to take control of your life to bring better things into it - Hopefully this is one of those times when doing what is right for you - will also bring prosperity and good things into your life

I was going to let this run the 6 months and not renew as that seemed the professional option. It's been nasty and negative with some very twisted individuals. I'm watching what's been done to other permie staff and no-one gives a toss about their much vaulted values. I was brought in to kick start the work which I did and feedback I had from Europe was great. Feedback from UK teams where we highlighted their lack of progress and poor business knowledge wasn't well received and that was the end.

So all in all delighted to be going.

I know that feeling... sometimes being good at what we do threatens others.

I have decided that I need to find a culture that supports me in my next role even if that means setting up my own business to do it..... Still need to pay the bills too tho! I am trying to look for work nearer to home and that is more positive- wish me luck!

An ebay drop shop. Bring it to us and we'll do all the ebay stuff, you just sit back and wait for a cheque. Well that's the theory anyway :D

Best of luck SH. You're great at what you do, look at the jobs you've had. I'm just getting too old to put up with the double standards and nonsense plus I find it so frustrating that we're trying to help a company who seems unable to understand what really needs to be done and why.

Ahhh - deep cleansing breath and relax :D
