Best of luck SH. You're great at what you do, look at the jobs you've had. I'm just getting too old to put up with the double standards and nonsense plus I find it so frustrating that we're trying to help a company who seems unable to understand what really needs to be done and why.

Ahhh - deep cleansing breath and relax :D
Thanks KJ that is lovely - so encouraging.

I know exactly what you mean both about the double standards and the fact they can't see the wood for the trees.

Have you ever heard of the ICFBA - I am thinking of going to one of their seminars - they are apparently one of those business associate groups that potentially help you get work on a self-employed basis?

I've never heard of ICFBA. Do you have any info about them I could look up? Do you know anyone who's ever worked with them?

Well due to the imminent joblessness and complete pants of this week I updated my linkedin today and I've managed to get 4 recommendations including one from a senior person at the company I've just been let go from so suddenly feel less pants even although this is the worlds longest sentence!

I've been surprised about how it's grown. Asked for my first recommendations today and now have 6. It is just cyberspace but these are people I've worked with and they don't seem to think I'm a muppet so taking that as a positive.

Hi KJ - I coached someone recently - and suggested that they keep an evidence log in a journal of different examples where they believed they had done well or made a difference - and that the person got testimonials from people to back it up. That way when they feel down or rubbish or lacking in confidence - they can look at their positive evidence log - and read the truth and raise their self esteem! Perhaps something like that would be good for you too.

Thats a good idea. I think the linkedin thing is working a bit like that, it reminds me that I do do a decent job. So onwards and upwards SH - the two of us onto bigger and better things.

Plus my kitchen is almost finished and meals have certainly started to decrunchify.

I like linked in for that... I notice some people have lots of connections. Do you stick with people that you have met personally or do you widen it more than that to for example linked in groups you belong to?
