Thanks SH. We'll eek it as far as we can but the remainder will be found. Need accountant now to guide me on best way to balance the books as we have huge loss from sole trader, some profits from partnership and have taken nothing yet from Ltd Company. Pay enough in fees so now need a cunning plan.
Taking SB on holiday for half term but most of that is paid for already, flat and train fares. Just need some spends, really looking forward to some down time.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Is this your London trip? I am sure you will have fun - it will be good to spend quality time with SB too if you have been away a lotAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Sounds like you're up to your neck in it at the mo Kissjenn
Your strategy of "head down/keep going" is the only way. You'll soon reap the rewards though - so keep on keeping on, it WILL be worth it.0 -
Hi SH. Yes off to London next week. Bought us london passes last night. Gives us free entry to loads of stuff we want to do and travel for zones 1-6. Also lets us go to the front of the queues so hopefully a cost effective idea. Will go to ticket booth on Leicester Square and we can choose a couple of shows. Really looking forward to it.
Hi MG. I agree. Head down and going for it. Think I may have let the two vacant flats this weekend too so that'll help (if I can persuade them that paying rent GOOD, not paying rent BAD). :rotfl:
Back abroad again midweek so on paperwork patrol this weekend. And absolutely everything covered in dust from the work. Crunchy cups of tea are an acquired taste.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -

Well done London and skintier than a skint thing with nae money!
Builders have cracked on and installed kitchen and built extension frame. They now want more dosh ...:eek::eek: ... gulp about that number. There is dust everywhere, inches of it. I've no clean clothes and the washing machine has disappeared under piles of stuff.
Monday is back to the grind. A day abroad as I need to be in Scotland most of the week, that means an 18 hour first day back...:(
So raring to go, empty pockets and lots of challenges to come. Time to MSE again with a vengence.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -

Hello MrsCMR and EH. Hope things are going well with new shop and work.
Went to ticket booth4 times. We really did spend a fortune but it was all saved for and SB had a great time. I could not believe how busy it all was given the recession BUT it was European families presumably making the most of the strong Euro.
Flat we rented was 7 mins walk from Oxford Circus and just perfect. Left every morning about 10 and got back around 12 hours later. I'd be skinnier if it wasn't for the 3 cooked meals that seemed to happen en route every day.
So big hit, had a ball and I won't get many more chances for real 1 to 1 time with SB.
House is cracking on and hopefully we'll be done by the summer ... I'm not houseproud but this is too much even for me.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
That's brilliant - it really does sound like you have a marvellous time and as you say all saved for so no need of guilt there either! :T🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
