Right essay in. It be pants but it be in...thank you lord! :jI think this was a bad subject choice, luckily only 4 essays required and that's 1 in the bag. :eek:Other big course looks way more interesting. :j

Rent arrears gone up again as another one has stopped paying and answering his phone. I'm sure there must be a by-law that allows shooting somewhere (geographic as opposed to anatomic or maybe anatomic would be more fun as I know where I'd stick the barrel).

Round Two of the Monopoly marathon. OH is looking a tad down and out, SB and I are battling for control of the empire .... mwoo ha ha vengence will be mine. It's all packed up for Round Three over the weekend. :j

Did my CAB shift today so that was dandy. Can hopeful do a bit more over the coming month, force me to time manage better. :j

SB finished work experience which he enjoyed. Still wants to be an accountant so play my cards right and that 10% discount could be mine in about 10 years time. :j

TV fixed...voice of doom required the old Microsoft switch off and switch on again routine. :j Heating not happy though so will have to contact my gas engineer on Monday. Sods law is I cancelled British Gas contract on 17th of September. Had it 11 years and the only call out required is 14 days after it runs out :mad:

Still trying to catch Mrsmcr. We're playing Messenger tennis. At about 40 all at the moment. OH still playing with our IT problem so :o:o

    So today's score stands at

Hi KJ glad TV's working - your house seems to be like the mint advert - you get one thing going for you and another goes down the pan. Hope things improve soon.

Mrsmcr - how about Monday at 8pm? WOuld that suit you?

SH - Thnaks by the end of this we should be the biggest strongest people going.

Nice letter from HBoS today. They're simplifying overdrafts. If you have an authorised o/d of less than £2500 they'll charge you £1 for every day you use it. £2 if the authorised o/d is over £2500 and £5 per day if it's unauthorised.

I have £100 authorised o/d and have had for years. Average interest charge is about 10p per month. Equivalent looking at my statements will be £7. That's a 7,000% hike. And they're removing their 1% interest on the amount in credit which always offset my 10p charge, making the hike closer to 70,000%. That's pretty damn impressive.

So goal now is to never stray into o/d while never having any credit cos it'll earn nothing. That has !!!!!! me off beyond belief.

On the other side if you ran an overdraft at £2499 and were only charged £30 per month that's only 1.2% interest, cheaper than just about any other borrowing. Worth considering?

If you pay £1000 per month into the account though you will get the £5 reward. It's the only reason I kept my account when it changed in February.

Nationwide are superb on authorised overdrafts, I've always found. Even when we've been a long way into the red our monthly charges have never been above about £1.50. That certainly is an extortionate hike for such a small OD KJ - like you say, it's a massive incentive not to use it isn't it.

FF - up until Feb there was over £3k a month going into my account and closer to £5k going into the joint account and we've never ever been given one solitary fiver!! What are we doing wrong?

EH - I'm going to become more anal than usual about keeping my one in the black. It's a relatively low activity account, the joint one still has flats coming in and out because of fun with the council - may there be a pox upon them - not listening about bank changes.

Made a list of 46 jobs which need to be done this weekend. We've divvied it up and are all doing bits...oddly enough I seem to have over half by myself. Still the boys are up for it so hopefully we'll really get somewhere tomorrow.

Also have to be dad's birthday present. He's presented me with a list of exactly what I'm to buy...

    3 tins of mixed beans
    3 tins of kidney beans
    3 tins of butter beans
1 bottle extra virgin olive oil
    1 bottle cider vinegar
1 large bar Cadbury's Dairy Milk
    1 large bar Galaxy
    1 large bar Plain Chocolate
    1 box Maltersers
    4 bottles of Lambrusco.

    That's us told!!

That list is well odd KJ! I know the feeling on the 46 jobs!

I really should go and use my 5p off a litre voucher which runs out today and nip to the shop but don't want to leave xfactor!

I'm found 5 more jobs and I'm couried up on the couch with husky and not moving. They were used by the Siberian tribes to keep their babies and children warm, they used to tuck up the dogs and kids together. Useless fact for today!
