    Well mixed day.

    SB did 1st day of work experience. I drove him down 15 miles and he got the train back. Got off at earlier station to save me a quid and then phoned me to pick him up. Phone was on blink so by the time he got hold of me he's been there an hour. On the plus side he knows exactly what trains he can get tomorrow and he enjoyed the day so :jfor SB

    OH's special IT system failed. They send him a new exe file, he installed it and it corrupted his whole system. As it was the very expensive accessibility software he couldn't see the problem and couldn't work with the company to fix so I got the icky sicky techie job. Man was very nice and 90 minutes later we had a functioning system. Means he's way behind with his final essay so I'm giving him system time tonight. :eek: and :j

    1've done my first full draft of 2000 words. On a subject I don't give a flying **** about. So will red pen and polish tomorrow and submit. Then I need to start the one due on Friday, haven't opened the book for it yet. :j and :eek:

    Budget wise a NSD although I'll need petrol tomorrow and have various other expensive - passport - chores to do. :jand :eek::eek:

    That comes to a draw :j:j:j:j :eek::eek::eek::eek:
    Oh dinner was SB's favourite pasta and was yum. So extra :j

    Happy chappies win :j:j:j:j:j to :eek::eek::eek::eek:

    Hi KJ glad you got the tech things fixed

    I'm not sure the job would be worth it... I felt stressed all weekend over it and didn't get a great feeling today...

    That's rotten. I worked in Glasgow for a bit and the commute was a killer. Trying to do that and work in after school clubs is nightmarish. Something good will come up for all of us. We just need to keep the faith.

    Not worth it. Seriously, can you imagine spending the nest six months or more feeling like that? There's far more to life than work & money - although admittedly both help!

    SH - Thank you. Never worked PT but the Aberdeen deal would have let me do bug chunks from home and that would have been grand.

    Good News - Essay submitted :j:j:j

    Semi Good News - Scottish Power admitted they owe me £46. They admit that they've known this since the last time we spoke in mid-August. Now the cheeky bar stewards want to recheck all of it in case they've made a mistake. :mad: If not they'll give me back MY money in 21-25 days. :mad::mad: How fast would the tables be turned if I owed them £46. I just want the accounts closed, that seems to be too much for them to comprehend. :confused:

    Write to them stating your rate of interest on their bad debt! Set it out as a proper "debt chasing" credit control style letter and see what comes back. The power companies can all be nightmareish I think - we had a tough time sorting things out with British Gas last year.

  • KJ - that is very irritating re the utility company. Ours have just dropped our payment - I think too low but since I am skint right now I am reluctant to say anything!

    Well done on getting the essay submitted!
