Just thought I'd update to say my card arrived today :beer: Just the plain design though, not the puppy that I chose online Oh well!

Just waiting for Vanquis and Aqua now...

ETA: When I rang to activate the card I asked about the design and she said she's had a lot of people commenting on that, the reason being they have run out of the design I requested Just in case anyone else wonders when their card arrives and its plain

Digital how long was it from getting your pin to getting your card with cap1 i got my pin yesterday just wondering how long to expect to wait for my card.

I think I got my PIN on Monday, there was no date on the letter though.

Parki, what Cap1 card did you apply for? If it's the Classic then I think everyone gets the same APR at 34.9%? May be wrong though!

My Classic interest is Just over 30% apr

I don't remember if I was told my interest, just assumed it's the standard rate. Is there anyway to find out online? Otherwise I'll just wait until my first statement.

Yeah, i wanted a cute piggie on my card, but got the plain-jane standard one. Booo. I love my Cap1 card and the lovely green '0's i'm benefiting from, but if the Cap1 card was a person, it would have a face only a mother could love

Well i spoke to cap1 today, my card will be here by the 23rd aparently and i have a £500 limit to start with, not bad really as i only want something to buy everyday things like petrol and food shopping then pay off in full just to keep boosting the old credit file.

What other credit cards are available to low credit rated people? i don't have bad credit really but i am self employed and find i'm often placed in the same risk catagory as those with defaults and ccj's.

I applied to Vanquis on the 5th but they are taking their time by asking me to send in a bank statement (and I am on the electoral role and have been for 3 years) but as I have made 2 credit applications this month im pretty sure Aqua will decline me although im tempted to try them

Hi Rose,

just speaking from personal experience, i don't think Aqua would decline you for having only 2 searches. I had about 5 searches on my file when i applied plus 2 defults and about 11 late payments. You're on the electoral roll which alos helps.
