Capitol one online Application???

Hi, just wondering if anyone can help me.....

I previously had a capitol one credit card but paid it up and cancelled it about 4 years ago. I have applied online a couple of times since to transfer a balance from another card, it says one minute decision on the website and the previous two times i applied i just got a "sorry you were unsucessful" message.

However i applied again a couple of days ago and it never said "you have been accepted" but i got past the first step, the one minute decision, and i was asked to sign a credit agreement online, which i did. Problem is after that i just got a message about if we need more information we will contact you and i was directed back to the home page.

So i just wondered is anyone familiar with the online application process for cap one? have i been accepted? or does signing the agreement not mean anything?

i have not had any letter, phone call or email from cap one although obviously it has only been a couple of days. I Suppose i'm just curious.

Does this mean i have beenaccepted.?.....thanks.

Most of the time a CCA does not mean your accepted. #try and call them to see if they have made a decision

The Capital One balance transfer cards require an "excellent" credit rating.

Do you meet the criteria listed on the Cap One website? (e.g. have credit card balances of under £10,000, a credit card with limit of at least £5000 etc.)

As above, I'd give C1 a call. If you ring card services on 01159 938002, you'll avoid the perishing 0870/0845 numbers ;)

Thanks guys i'll give em a call, i was just curious as to whether or not i had been accepted as i have applied before and not got past the one minute decision bit.

There is nothing wrong with my credit, no major issues like defaults or ccj's not sure i'm excellent in terms of my crdit rating, i have never missed my mortgage, i have a car loan that was never missed, i have no defaults or ccj's only blip was a credit card i missed the odd payment on when i didn't have it set up on direct debit (when i say missed i mean paid late, not didn't pay), it's upto date now but showing a fair few late payments over the last, i think it is 2 years.

Thanks for the landline number i'll give it a call.

I've just fallen out with Capital One. I applied for a classic card in January this year. The application was successful and I signed my first credit agreement and recieved my first credit card. They started me on the most lowest credit limit possible £100. They said if my payments were met on time and the account was kept in good order I would recieve an automatic credit limit increase on the fourth statement. I went £1.00 over the limit a couple of months ago but paid it back so quickly I didn't recieve a default notice or charge. This months was my fourth statement and the last time I looked I had £1.50 available credit, only before the statement was sent out Capital One calculated my purchase interest at £2.20 which took me £0.70 over £100 and with them two little slip-ups and despite me paying off my balances in full rather than the minimum payment, they declined my credit increase. So i'm stuck with a £100 creditcard. I also have a Barclaycard which they started me out with a £500 credit limit.
