:rotfl:
I have been trying to work out why I had a Barclayscash back card.. (I didnt ever remember signing up for one) .. Just started getting statements for it one day..
I've just tried to look into that.. and a nice MSEr just told me that Morgan Stanley Credit card.. (which I DID have) .. is now the Barclayscash back card.
Soooo.. I have one less creditor than I thought.. :T
and am in £400 less debt than I thought.. :rotfl:
HOORAAYY!
But now it also explains why I couldnt find any of the right contact info for Morgan Stanley when I sent my letters/offers etc.. Why they never reply.. and why the phone number doesnt work..

Well.. not much has been happening with my (self) DMP..
All is (fairly) quiet on the Western Front... Hitachi Capital (DFS Sofa) are still being nasty gits..
HSBC have finally stopped calling (since I finally picked up and spoke to them) haha.
I've sent off for copies of all my CCAs.. Barclaycard replied within about 48hrs (!!) .. But only with a load of junk (it seemed to me) .. Just two sheets of photocopied T&Cs.. nothing about ME on anything.. So.. im not sure how next to handle that yet.
Everyone but Hitachi Capital and RBOS have cashed my token payments (and seen my letters/all sent recorded) .. But no one has really acknowledged anything of my DMP so far.. (thats out of 12 of them!) ... So still I wait.
Oh.. But RBOS have already defaulted my account and I am waiting to hear now from the DC department.
Oo hey!.. I'm off soon (after my coffee) to be tested to see if I am a match for a bone marrow transplant.. (a mum of 4) .. Bless!.. Hope she finds a donor!.. Hope it IS me!..
You get two weeks of work!.. :T
haha..I'm joking..
I hope it's me.Very proud of trying to deal with my debts. LBM 04/09

Hiya Eupho, I have just seen your diary
I have no experience in DMPs, self administered or otherwise, but you seem to be doing really well!
I read on another thread about the T-Shirt you were gonna do - I would so love one of those, I thought they were brilliant!

Hate to disappoint you, but many bone marrow donations are now done by giving you a few injections at short visits over a few weeks to stimulate stem cell production in the blood. Then you just go in for a couple of hours and it is like giving blood, via a machine that looks like dialysis machine. It harvests the stem cells. No surgery usually required, and no time off. Very easy in fact. So much so it a sin everyone who can donate isnt on the register. But good try! I hope she finds a match.unsecured Debts at [strike]August 2007 £79,984[/strike] September £79,579 [STRIKE]Snowballing date July 2013[/STRIKE].

Good Luck with the tests Eupho hope all went well and that if you aren't a match that someone else that is is found very soon.

Ohh I know.. thankyou though.. Are you a marrow donor too? (I have been on the register for 13/14yrs, Donated marrow at the Royal Free Ldn in 2000.. but had to have a 2yr 'pause' on it when I became ill, this was my all clear 'unpause') :rotfl:
It wasn't specifically for her.. just more because of her.
She was there actually, with one of her daughters.. She was soo sweet saying thankyou and what not to the people that showed up.. bless her.
As for how it's done.. It depends what the patient needs as to what and how they take it from you.
I think you are talking about when they need blood stem cells.. Where as the donor you have to have about 5 injections (one a day, at home with a nurse that pops in) The jab makes some kind of white cells and makes the blood stem cells come out of the marrow in ya boooones. Then you go into hosp and get hooked up on a machine to get some of the blood stem cells out for the patient.
Or
The time off work thing.. is only when you have had to do the 2 day/night stay in Hospital in London.. (when they need the marrow from your hip for a patient, and you do get knocked out for that) .. They are good though.. they pay all your travel stuff.. aaand for a friend to come with you too, they offer/give you get loads of counselling before during and after. They do take good care of you. :T

I have enough moola together to pay off my smallest credit card.. £390 ..
Not loads I know.. but hey!.. one less heap of letters arriving.. (and phone calls!) :T
Tho I am doing my own DMP.. I don't see this as 'naughty' .. because I've not made any arrangements with anyone yet. (mainly because they need to all pull their blimmin fingers out and reply!).. :rotfl:
But anyway.. I'm just looking at the best way to do pay this one off..
WOOOHOO!:j:T
So far.. nothing to update from anyone else.. :rolleyes:Very proud of trying to deal with my debts. LBM 04/09
