I am sorely tempted to give it a bash... apparently the Paisley route is flat and fast...

see if you can suss out last years results online and see how far up or down the field you're likely to come in.... no point entering an elite runners race and being last... (says me who was last in montrose! lol! although to be fair, it wasn't an elite, it was just the first time it was held... i figured i've brought the co-efficient down for next year! lol!)
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

  • ghost - have you seen the Good Enough thread on MSE? It's a thread where lovely peeps all motivate each other to do 'something' each day, even if that is 1 thing from a huge list of whatever life is chucking at them. It doesn't matter how small it is - ie wash up last nights pots, it's about achieving something and thinking - you know what, that really is good enough.

No, I hadn't. I've found it now though (after a bit of searching, I never normally go in the Arms) and I'll have a proper read of it once I get back from the bank. Thanks for mentioning it, it sounds like just what I need. :)

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

    It is a lovely thread.

I have decided I am teaching the wrong subjects - cookery schmookery......media handling schmandling..........I need to be teaching more of this IT malarkey - there are HUGE resources out there on t'internet for every aspect of teaching basic ICT. Too much in fact and I have my first session sewn up apart from going through the handouts myself. I thought I'd be sat here for hours - I haven't had to create anything myself from scratch!

    Right........AQA...........

Anyway BB, thats great that you have got your preparation done so quickly and make an early start on AQA...early night or 5 mins off tonight now??

DD's room is now officially sparkling, no corner undusted, all furniture moved and hoovered. Shame the rest of the house is a tip still. Am going to draw myself up a monthly fly lady type plan so I can keep ontop of it. Also when DH is off and no job he will know exactly what has to be done and there will be no excuse ;)
