    640*12 = 7680 total max pay

    7680 / 100 * 5 = 384 pension

    7680 - 384 = 7296 = max take home less 5% pension

    7296 - 2530 = 4766 = total remaining less pension less "tax"

leaves you with 397 / month take home pay - bare in mind when your tax is sorted, you'll bring home: 486/month

god, so it's only 397??? _pale_ My income changes every month, this is definitely a 'lean' month. It's salary of 640 (this bit doesn't change) plus 1 x 17.71 plus 1.5 times 8.50......(these are the lean bits!)

ah overtime - i remember that many moons ago - no chance of it now. if i work extra, we get it off in leiu, but you never really get how much you put in. not that thats a big issue, long as i do a good job.

OH was bad at taking overtime into consideration when thinking about wages, but its not always garaunteed. people base their mortgage on it and thats crazy.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

The extra bits are my teaching (the 17.71 rate) and invigilating (the £8 odd rate). Overtime doesn't exist where I am

Think I might go away and hide somewhere and come out when it's all gone away, I'm not sure how much longer I can take this struggling :(

does anyone know - if a pre-tax monthly pay packet is going to be £640 at the end of this month, pension is 5% and the tax code is 253L, is take home of around £520 correct??????

Bb, check here on the main site. I have been playing today too I hope my new tax code is applied to this weeks wage.

Anyways I have finished my TMA part A :jdid it without the percentage changes. I am unsure if it will be right but I have summarized the features within the figures which is all it asks :D

hiding isnt good, unless its hide & seek, then its fun.

life is a struggle sometimes, but after the hard part is the fun part followed by the keepin together part :)

you got a holibag to look forward too! more than me!
