Unlugged modem just tried to log in with router, ie cannot display this page, ran connection problem wizard it said switch off router for 3 minutes , did that still nothing , the adsl light came on on the router as it should.
In the instructions it says pc needs to be configured for DHCP, I dont know what that means or if it is, and the other thing is when i check the LAN connection it ic connected but it says connected to realtek RTL 8139 family pcif , but the router is a netgear?? so is that right?

At last.
Either use the DNS quoted on your ISP's website support pages or use openDNS which is:
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

I think i might just send the thing back.0 -

There are two different username/passwords that need to be entered. The first is to log into the routers set-up screens and the second is your ISP's username and password.
Did you enter your ISP details (case sensitive) into a box like this and click Apply?

Remember to completely disconnect and unplug your USB modem before trying to connect the Netgear. You won't be able to connect if you are already connected. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
