Does your laptop have built in wireless?

If your lappy has built in wireless, you might need to switch it on. If its a satellite, look under the left, front edge for a switch...or elsewhere for that matter!

Make sure you set up security when you get it working!

You would normally connect your router to the Laptop/PC using an ethernet cable to do the initial setting up e.g. inputting your username and password in.
The next stage would be to set up the wireless security.
    What steps have you performed?
That gum you like is coming back in style.

    no?

it doesnt give me an option to anywhere
  • Once you log into the router, you start at the 'Router Status' page.

Click on 'Basic Settings' on the left and on that page you'll see a place for your login and password.

You need to disable/switch off the wireless connection and enable the wired local area connection until you've managed to connect to and set up the router.

Have you checked to make sure your using the right default ip address? Check the router manual.

Alternatively, run a cmd prompt and type ipconfig ENTER.

What does it say for default gateway ?
