i have bought from ebuyer in the past, when i thought i was ordering brand new goods,... i either received repaired items or used items. finger marks all over the screen and foot (lcd tv ) Sent it back and received brand new one....didn't think no more of it at the time...Then a couple of months later i bought a netbook, and guess what....will not use again.

going back to names...i purchased a microwave from comet and it still working eight years later..proline-comet brand...so the moral is-it don't have to be a sony.
  • Got a Hinari microwave from Argos (I think) about 10 years ago, and it still works.

from around 2001-2003 sort of era?

harvard international (the company that started the brand names alba and goodmans) bought the hinari name in 2001 and resurrected it for a time, they have always had close links with argos, and a few years ago sold the rights to the alba and bush brand names to them
Who remembers when X Factor was just Roman suncream?

Except that you will need to pay for the cost of returning the thing to ebuyer.

Their T&Cs say (within the Distance Selling Regulations section)...
Should you wish to cancel your contract after the goods have been delivered to you, you will be responsible for returning the goods to Ebuyer at your own cost unless the goods are faulty or mis-described.
  • Has anyone got an F&H MP3/4 player actually to work?

An agent in the UK bought some of these for us to sell in our shop. 70% were dead on arrival and, of the rest, almost all failed during the first few weeks of operation and were returned for a refund.

A few are useable as a very slow flash-drive, but most don't do anything at all.

Maplins sell the same stuff with different brand names, I buy mine direct from china.

Why pay £40+ for something i can get delivered to my door in 7 days for under £11.

I bought some of those MP3/MP4 players for nephews/nieces from ebuyer and they worked well when i tested them but in the hands
of kids they suffered. Dragging them around by the headphone sockets. One socket came out and i returned it for a replacement, Sister
insisting it must have been faulty & not the kids fault. When whe collected the new one her daughter dropped it as she was getting in
the car and managed to save it by catching the headphone lead. I shook my head and said nothing.

Why does this thread keep getting bumped anyway?

Most shops sell the same goods with their own label printed on them, If you dont like it or dont know what the brand is, Buy something
    else surely?

One review i read the other week...

"Excellent item and excellent value for money. Would have been even better value if it had lasted longer than 3 days"

It was for a well known brand name external harddrive, Sold as a device to keep all your data safe.
