We have decided to go this way as Lloyds is threatening to use what we're awarded to pay the arrears on our loan. Arrears we wouldn't have been in if we were aware that we didn't have to take the PPI out.
Write back to Lloyds - recorded delivery. Tell them that because they added this unfair PPI to your loan - therefore putting you in arrears; they ought to make a payment to you - personally. Did Lloyds pass the loan onto a dca? You may want to claim some money for yourselves; some for the loan.0 -

So then peeps... how are we all getting along?
my update is that they sorted my loan and now im sat with the FOS waiting for them to sort it.
used my PPI to repay all the outstanding balance (which i had moved to abbey on a 12 month high payment loan.. so little interest..) and am well impressed with Abbey.

Hi there RisingJoe.
Glad everything is moving forward for you, good luck.;)
I did add a thread the other day, should have posted in here silly me lol, but found 2 old agreements, Lloyds loans, one in 1997 and the other was abour 1999, but were mis sold, the same as the other reasons, where the FOS seen in our favour on the Credit Card PPI.
As older cases, not sure what our chances would be, but going to give them a go anyway.
Blimey the agreements looked so different then lol.The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
i just found out i was paying papment protection for 4 years....i got a copy of the original application....and sure enough the x on the PPI was not mine....i could clearly see it was different from all my other x's on the application.....some !!!!!! put it in there themself.....it cost me about £5k over the period....
i did not spot it as i have a very busy account, the amount was only £30/£40 pound a month....no way i would go through every small transaction...
in the process of sending/writing the letters now....one went on the 23rd of June 2009....will let you know how i ge ton.
