Smug mug - Congratulations....
sounds like you had a bad case. i think its ridiculous that Lloyds give such rubbish advise to people they should be supporting and guiding, ratherthan manipulating us for short term gain.

Great thread Joe, i too am in a similar position and was sold loans with 'protection' very young and i am fighting this.
I need some advice though, i sent my letter on the 24th March, i've had the we are looking into your complaint letters with the latest being about 3 weeks ago, but how much longer do i give them before i go down the second letter route?
Thanks0 -

Hi There they have eight weeks to reply. If they do not reply then send them another letter giving them one week and say you will then take it to the FOS. Good Luck I also have stuff going on with Lloyds some through FOS and other with Solicitors.:mad:0 -
Cheers Max, i'll start drafting another letter then0

Hello all,
the time line i had was as below:
Sent Letter one on the 28th Feb
Recieved the "we are looking into it" letter a week later
Recieved the "will have a reply within 4 weeks letter" then on the 29th April (exactly 8 weeks later) i recieved the "still looking into it" letter.
so i replied with Letter two "14 days and i will take things further"
7 days later i sent the FOS complant form with a covering letter (i know it was 7 days early, but figured if Lloyds replied with something positive i could contact the FOS and cancel my claim... but they havent anyway)
So. im now 2 weeks into the FOS Process. twidling my thumbs hoping and praying this doenst take years to sort out.

Ok... to add to the timeline, after 13 weeks i had a letter offering me £1714 in settlement, plus two lots of interest, the 8% and the interest i would have paid on the PPI.
So this brings my loan PPI to a close (once i know the full final figure) only the CC to go now.
Please be firm and remember that everyone here is able to offer advice along the way. i look forward to the cheque arriving now.
Good luck everyone.Awaiting PPI - Lloyds TSB LoanDebt Free Date: [STRIKE]30/10/09 02/10/09 07/08/09 [/STRIKE] 10/07/090 -
