quick update from me again...
had a nice big fat letter from FOS fall on the door mat on friday.
after a few hours reading through it all. it basically said "lloyds now have decied to uphold your complaint" "please sign attached, send it in and monies will be arranged within 21 days"
so now its just a case of fingers crossed to see what it works out as lol.
its taken me 22 months from the initial letter being sent, to this day..
the letter didnt mention anything about the £200 compensation that the FOS usually award? would this be explained in their provided breakdown?0 -

Hi and well done!
Did your complaint also go as far as the ombudman himself?
If not resolved by the adjudicator, if moved on to an ombudsman, this is where they normally award further redress for distress and inconvenience, unless the adjudicator discreetly awards this too.
Maybe it is included though, give them a ring to check, good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Update due... on the 8th Oct 2010 (22 months after the initial letter was sent to Lloyds) i was sent a pack by the FOS offering a "gratuity" payment (basically lloyds offering ot pay back out of goodwill) .
the letter explained they have 12 weeks to make the payment from the date they recieved it back. i sent it back asap (note the letter was sent on the "PPI doomsday" where no further payment were processed. )
they recieved on the 14th (lloyds) and then "lost it" so i re-sent again for it to be recieved on the 21st. since then i have joined the weekly "call lloyds and push it along" group.
i was informed by lloyds own staff that they aimed for 8 weeks, meaning my case was due to be resolved (paid out) by 27th December at the latest.
on the 20th dec, i called to find out the progress and was told they were waiting on the insurer to confirm that no payments were made... then on the 23rd they confirmed that it had been recieved and they were waiting for the calcs...
i called today and the woman (very rude and short with me for enquiring as to where my money is) told me they were still waiting to hear back from the ins company (which is agaisnt my previous discussion) when i questioned it with her, she got really uppety, and basically called me a liar. so i asked ot speak to someone with a little more authroity on the issue (worded nicely so as to rile her).
after being put on hold everytime i asked her anything so she could "find out" i am extrememly ********** with lloyds. i had thought about lodging a complaint. but see little point in complaining about a complaint being handled badly.
GRRR.
anyway... fingers crossed that they actually full their finger out and get on with it now... they can borrow my calculator if they like (it adds 10% to everything... )
So far were at 24 months on the nail....0 -
JoeC - I have been at Lloyds now for four years so please be patient. I have posted other threads on this and I am so now b furious (cant swear but would love too) and after reading all your posts and the others too makes my blood boil that we have to go through all this sh*t for our own money back. Lloyds dismissed the adjudicator in my case and noone informed me (another year) until I made a polite enquiry - through claims company who have not handled my case AT ALL but will still rake off £150 plus vat anyway.......I presume I am in another pile in an intray somewhere - Lloyds took my money and then when I claimed through ill health which was what the policy was about anyway they swotted me away like a fly. I have followed procedure to the letter and it has got me nowhere.
Joe, you are an articulate and intelligent person and I wish you well in all your endeavours. Remember this though - banks are thieves and robbers - and ALWAYS will be.
All the very best from mrs s0 -
