Got some really nice Cava at half price in Mr T yesterday (4 bottles) for my pamper hampers and a good red wine, also half price plus a bottle of white for OH then got the 25% off offer so well pleased with myself
:p
Still picking up bits and pieces for the hampers - think I am becoming obsessed:cool:
I made my first attempt at Lemon Curd yesterday and it tastes lovely but not sure how long it will keep in the jar - can anyone help?
Planning to make my first batch of bath bombs today before relaxing to watch the tennis.0 -

Feeling a bit tierd this morning after the long day yesterday, but feeling in the mood for getting things done.
Had a lovely time at the Airshow, got loads of Freebies for the kids and a few for me and the OH, got some lovely cloth bags with RAF on them and long handles for a £1 which are going away as gift bags for pressies, so recipients can re-use them (Even got my self one;)). And managed to get my Dad a Cartoony print of the Nimrod, Which he used to work on when he was in the RAF, which I will be framing for him as his Xmas Pressy, Great bargin Price of £5.
Had a look round the craft tents and got a few Ideas for my folder too.
I'm off to make another Coffee now and get some bits sorted out, will catch you all in a bit.

We really did have a fab day furrypig, it was just so hot though, suffering a bit today for it, feeling a bit tierd and a bit tight on my shoulders.
I would gladly send you my file if you will organise it for me LOL:o it's got that much junk in it and scraps of paper I don't know where to start with it. Just waiting til I can print off the new sparkling sheets of OC then I'm gonna get it sorted :D:D:D:D

thanks for the encouragement pipsmum.
Got a heck of a load of gardening done today, not strictly christmassy but it has been in dire need of straightening out.
Need some advice as well, am doing my mum a christmas themed hamper for my mum for christmas (which came about because I saw a cross stitch santa banner she would like) I have a recipe for a peppermint foot ar which I thought she would like and was hoping to use some small amounts of food colouring (small enough to not stain) in red and green to turn it into a 'candy cane' looking bar. However, I dont know how to do it stripey and not have the colours run or if food colourign would work.
Am using the recipe from the craftits.com website if anyone needs to know what one i'm using0 -
have updated my list and read alot of last years xmas threads and took loads of notes............ really liking the idea of christmas eve hamper and advent hampers just need some ideas to put in them

Hi Lisa
last year in my kids xmas eve hampers were New Pyjamas, new toothbush's and toothpaste, bubble bath, bath crayons, snowman soap, sponge mit, reeindeer dust (Home made), named star certificate (free printable), Small lego toy (Free from the paper), and one large choc coin.
I used 2 large wooden Salad bowls (reduced in sainsburys to 70p ish) and wrapped them up. We put them at the frontdoor while the kids were having tea, then OH went and knocked and I told the kids to go and see what it was and hey presto a little gist hamper off santa's elves to get them ready for the big day. I did print a little letter off and put it in an evelope addressed to each one.

If you need to save money or don't want to spend loads you can mix in craft or other activities in the countdown to christmas hamper. I did it last year and we did things like go and look at christmas lights whilst dressed in jammya, watching a christmas film together, making various christmassy things, have a list somewhere!!0
