Not sure if this is the right place to ask for help, but if not, perhaps someone could point me in the right direction. I am afraid I am a technophobe and am helping that someone can explain to me how to do something. For comping, I always use a hotmail email addy. In the past, I just just to click on the link in the comps to send an email and it would go straight through to a new hotmail message if I was logged in. Now however, it tries to open Outlook, which I don't want. How can I set my computer up so that when I click on a link, it goes onto hotmail?

Thanks for helping and if anyone is willing to try and explain, please can you explain in idiot terms.

    Cheers.

I don't know how to get it to open hotmail but I use Windows Live Mail which is my hotmail account and it opens a new email up to send when I click a mailto link x

Is it maybe worth having a Seperate Sticky for instant win competitions like the Daily/Monthly threads?

Or marking the entries in the above threads with (Instant)?

I only ask because the OH is keen on Instant Win games (no patience!)

    - P.

Has been mentioned before - think it was decided there were enough stickies and not enough instants to justify a new one.

Most folk do note if it is an instant win on the thread anyways. ;)

good luck - patience is a virtue. :)

Hi, does anyone know how we stand with payment to charity competitions? Real Radio West Yorkshire are doing the annual duck race for Yorkshire charities. You have to buy a duck from ASDA or online at Real radio which cost £2.
You can race your duck at Bolton abbey on the 9th August (for you if bought online and can't make it) When you buy the duck you are entered into a prized draw to win a years worth of shopping at ASDA.
As there is cost involved I'm not sure if I can post it.
If you want to check it out and let me know if it can be posted the details are here.

The charities that benefit are The Yorkshire Air ambulance. Little Heroes Children's Cancer Charity. The professional Cricketers Association Benevolent Fund. Tickled Pink Breast Cancer Campaign.

Is anyone else having horrible technical issues on the UNCUT website? If so, please leave a comment here. I have contacted IPC magazines direct as there is never a technical department link on UNCUT. I have complained about the palarvar with log ins and profile updates etc as I am sick of it. I have been trying to update my address details on there for 18 months now! If I ever get to enter a competition on there (log in willing) then the prize will go to my old address anyway. Why do I bother? Anyhoo, I will be referring to this forum if they try and make out that there are no problems for other users, like they always do. The email address for IPC mags is customercare @ IPCmedia dot com. I can not post links i'm afraid as I am a newbie. You could contact them too, that way they may pay more attention to it. Be nice to enter comps with ease on the UNCUt website wouldn't it

This part of the site is only for posting online competitions and I've asked Dalkirst to move this thread to somewhere more appropriate.

I don't really have any problem with Uncut.. Yes, it always tells me that my email/password combination is incorrect, but I've learned now that I actually am logged in, and I have no problem entering comps.

I wasn't aware of the problems with updating details, that is annoying. It does say my log in is incorrect every time, but logs me in anyway. I've also tried to log out once I'm done and never can, and I know other users have been signed in as someone else when they click my links, which is worrying. Another MSE user, Marialionza, contacted them a while ago and they told her they were aware of the problems, and were trying to sort them, but it might take a while because they only have a small online team. After I posted another comp last night I was thinking I should try emailing them again, it has been going on for too long especially when there's a security issue.
