that's brilliant Toniq, I just had to "remail" Glamour for not receiving a prize and I put this:

I don't like to make a nuisance of myself but I really would appreciate some definite details as to if I am actually going to receive anything at all as a result of this competition or not and when I will receive this prize. I am disappointed that I have not yet heard anything and I would really appreciate your help in this matter. If you are unable to help please could you forward me the details of the PR company involved in this competition promotion in order that I can contact the Institute of Sales Promotions who regulate these kinds of competitions so that I may solicit their help in receiving my prize. I hope you would be able to help me one way or the other by the end of the week.

wish I had seen your version first I would have asked to borrow that instead!! Thanks for sharing though, will bear that in mind if I end up in this position again (or if Glamour don't pull their fingers out!!):)

Really glad it helped! Shocked me that i actually got the wording right and got responses and the prizes! It is true though u do feel awkward and u shouldn't have to! xx

Thankyou for all your replies,i think i will definately send them another
e-mail,as for my house being inaccessible,i live in a mid terrace just outside a largish town,the roads are narrow but a fire engine pulling a santa and his sleigh managed to get up my street about 2 weeks after i won the competition just before christmas so i'm pretty sure a postman can deliver four small batteries without much problem:rotfl:.

Received a call from M C Saatchi today which I missed, called back and got the reception desk that's how I knew they had called. I searched in comps and they are currently dealing with the bafta comp but is says in the rules they can only redraw after Friday if the winners can't be contacted. I called back but the office dealing with the comp said that they were not allowed to leave messages and all prizes were now claimed. Is there anything I can do or has this happened to anyone else?

Hi,
just looking for some email address advice. I have won a few prizes through comping but never had a WEM so was thinking maybe I should change my email address. Any advice on what to avoid and what to go for would be very much appreciated, i.e. I currently have a gmail one for comping is this a bad idea?, do email addresses starting with a certain letter of the alphabet have more success?(or even just general areas of the alphabet) should I avoid using my real name? should I avoid 'silly' addresses?

Hi ottytotty

You don't always get a wem, some prizes just turn up anyway. Another thing is to check your junk folder to see if any wins have gone in there. Try googling your name too, such as ..."Joe Bloggs" winner.... to see if your name is on a winners list. I am not sure about gmail addresses but i'm sure others use them too. HTH .Good luck

I have a question about Roboform. I had to completly start my laptop from scratch again because it wasn't working right. I had backed up. But when I came to put the back up disck onto the laptop it didn't work.

I have lost every thing that was on it. There wasn't much a few photos & some music but the thing I was most upset about was that I lost all my info on Robo Form. I was using the free version because I couldn't afford the £20 a year.

So my question is if I had brought the full version of Robo Form & the back up failed would I still get my info back if I signed into Robo Form or would I still of lost every thing.
