i know this is probably the wrong place to post this message but i was not sure where to post it.

    i sent this e-mail to battery-force.co.uk

hello,i sent an e-mail to you a couple of weeks ago and never got a reply,so i thought i would try again.back in early december i won a pack of batteries on your promotion competition and i still haven't recieved them.
    > many thanks

this is the reply-what a load of rubbish!

    Dear Hayley,

Thank you for getting in touch. You probably did not receive a reply from your previous email as it states in our Terms and Conditions with the Prize Draw there will be no correspondence entered into.

We have checked your order and can see that we did send out the FREE batteries to you but unfortunately the package was returned via Royal Mail to us with a red labelled attached stating 'Royal Mail are unable to deliver this item because the address is inaccessible'.

Unfortunately as this was a promotional relating order we are unable to redeliver the batteries to you. If you would like to continue to enter our daily prize draw please click on the link below to view:

If we can be of any help in the future, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Kind Regards,
    Battery Force Customer Care

Have just seen this on the Battery Force website

    http://www.battery-force.co.uk/promotion.html

    FREE Batteries from Battery Force

    ... sadly no longer available

The FREE Batteries promotion from Battery Force was a HUGE success with our customers. Every single calendar day since 25. April 2005, one lucky winner got a pack of four alkaline AA batteries completely free of charge.
Unfortunately, a complaint from one winning participant in February 2010 has forced us to end the promotion. We would have loved to continue the promotion indefinitely, but we simply don't have the capacity to deal with completely unjustified complaints, especially when they are made in such a way as to question our high operating standards in a public forum: We're giving away batteries for free, and in turn a winner tries to damage our outstanding reputation - a sad state of affairs.
The last entry for the promotion was accepted on 18. February 2010, with the last pack of batteries despatched to the winner from our warehouse on 19. February 2010.

I am so disgusted with the company & how they have treated you, If I was you I would make an official complaint to ASA/ISP.

Blimey, i'm amazed that one complaint in almost 5 years, can stop the promotion.
  • Exactly nanto, it seems petty & childish tbh that they have stopped it because of that.

That is such a croc! I assume they are talking about you marcandhay and your emails enquiring where your batteries are. How can they call it an unjustified complaint?!! You didn't receive them and wanted to know what they were going to do about it?! Probably better they stopped the competition if that's their attitude. You would not have made an 'enquiry' if they'd resent the batteries! I'd definately contact the ASA/ISP and take this further, batteries or not, you won them fair and square!
Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A

I have a question about Roboform. I had to completly start my laptop from scratch again because it wasn't working right. I had backed up. But when I came to put the back up disck onto the laptop it didn't work.

I have lost every thing that was on it. There wasn't much a few photos & some music but the thing I was most upset about was that I lost all my info on Robo Form. I was using the free version because I couldn't afford the £20 a year.

So my question is if I had brought the full version of Robo Form & the back up failed would I still get my info back if I signed into Robo Form or would I still of lost every thing.

Hope that made sence :D Thanks

You can back up roboform anyway... I can't remember how , but I am sure someone with more knowledge of the program will be able to help. I think you can just save the data on a memory stick/cd or something like that.
:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j

    Xmas Saver!
    Thanks Magical & Kisto.

I talked to someone from roboform & she said apart from trying to retrieve the info on their back up page they don't hold my info because I didn't use the paid for version which is fair enough.

But I didn't understand the back up page :D. Im not the most brainy person on computers :p.

  • Hello all,Thankyou for all your support,i did send the company another e-mail later that evening...this is what i wrote-

    Hello Again,
I forwarded the below e-mail to the forum website that i mentioned in my previous e-mail to you and i have been advised that i should contact the Institute of Sales Promotions.
If i do not recieve an adequate reply within 24 hours as i believe the excuse i was given was not acceptable as i live in a mid terraced house off a main road from a large town and 2 weeks after winning your competition a fire engine managed to pull father christmas in his sleigh down my road so i cannot understand how my house can be in accessible to a postman who would be posting 4 small batteries to my property.
If the reason was because of adverse snow conditions then i think you should at least honour the prize as this was not my fault.
I appreciate that the prize is only batteries but at the end of the day,i entered your competition in good faith and i believe this should be recipricated by yourselves.
    Many Thanks

I didn't think it was too pushy but obviously it must have been.i'm really annoyed and embarrassed at the way they have handled this matter.I don't really know what else to say.

Wow Marcandhay that is the worst treatment of anyone I have heard over such a little thing. If they are the big well operating company they claim to be how could one single and completely justified complaint end the competition. RIDICULOUS. I am fuming on your behalf!

I actually wanted to ask a question about the GMTV site. I have been entering the free prize draw comps by selecting the correct answer and submitting it then pressing the back button and resubmitting, but I have just had a horrible thought that it is only submitting the first time! Please someone tell me my (very many) entries will count!

    Hi all

I entered the Tesco/OVI competition and had an email in november saying I'd won a £20 tesco giftcard.

Royal Mail attempted delivery on 23rd december and left a blue card as i was at work. I arranged for it to be delivered to my local post office on 30th december but when i went to collect it it wasn't there. I then rearranged for it to be delivered to my house on 2nd january but it never showed up. I contacted Royal Mail who advised that the item was lost but I can't claim for it without information from the sender.

I've contacted Ovi via the competition email address and their contact us page on the website but received no reply and it's been about 3 weeks now. Does anyone know how else i can contact them?

    Thanks xxx
