    hi

has anyone won from funky fogey before ? i saw my name that i won when i entered last month's comp but not heard from them. Have sent them a message via the contact page on their website but no answer

just wondered if prizes generally turn up

I won a pocket compass from them once, I chased it numerous times and never got anywhere. I gave up in the end! However a few months prior to that I won a fitness session and I recieved that prize fine without having to chase for it.
Hope you get your prize xx
Thanks to all posters and contributers

  • Hi Guys,

Just a quick question / thoughts?

I have been on a couple of websites (tinypop & pop kids) that are running competitions mainly for kids dvd's etc. Looking through the t&c's there is nothing stating the limits to the number of enteries - In the interests of fair play what would you think is an acceptable number of enteries, how do the promoters stop abuse of the competitions and is it worth even entering these competitions ( I have entered the comps but I have only submitted one entry)

Comments on a postcard please to ........:D

think the best way is to be following other compers and see who they are becoming fans of, RT'ing etc...

If it doesn't say otherwise I (and i think most others) assume that it is only 1 entry per person. if you enter more often you risk being disqualified or only 1 entry being counted anyway. I don't know how the promoters deal with it but they could easily just discount any enteries which are exactly the same.

That is how I see it as well, I just wanted to get another opinion, as I wasn't 100% sure that what I was doing was the same as the majority of people. Although I'm sure that if people keep calling the phone number advertised on TV at £1.50 a throw the promoters won't mind if people keep entering the competition. ;)

re: twitter I follow other compers which is really the best way to find new comps. I also search (using the search box on the right hand side of your twitter page) using phrases such as "competitions uk" "rt to enter uk" "giveaway uk". I *always* add the UK bit as there are so many US comps -(most uk members are not eligible for them, but you'd also probably have to pay customs charges etc on any wins).

I've not found any easy way to search facebook for competitions yet. I just use google.
:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j

***Ignore this please. Just tried yet again and went straight to the comp.***

Hi guys. If someone's got a spare couple of minutes, could they please see if they can get anywhere with this comp link:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2261057

I've tried it on IE & AOL and, although the page loads with the correct header, it follows on with the story about the attack on Baby Peter's "stepfather". I've tried going all round the houses, going in from the home page and then even had a go at the "contact us" link to ask for help directly. This link also took me to the same story!

I'd appreciate it if someone could just let me know if I'm going loopy or if this is really happening?
