It's not hard to find who the regular posters of those comps are. Maybe they'd like to come on here & "out" themselves or indeed deny their involvement with "Collective"

I just want to say that it was NOT me that sent the PM despite me being the one that has posted the other beautyandthedirt competitions.

I would like to say that I had to use mobile broadband for a few weeks & the pictures were a bit of an issue as the connection was slow enough already but for the majority I guess they would not be a problem.

Misslinda - if you received that PM you should send it to abuse.

I've been thinking this through since my post earlier - the behaviour of 'Collective' has been deplorable, even more so by their chosen anonymity.

Perhaps it should be proposed that a 'newbie' shouldn't be able to post PMs, except to Board Guides, for a certain period (say 2 weeks or a month) after registration, in a similar way to not being able to post links until they've made 15 posts.

That way, if someone has something to say, at least they can't hide behind a pseudonym to do it.

Great idea,Melli.maybe one of the BG team could get in touch with IT staff of MSE and sort it.I'd do it but not sure how to contact them,

Edit....23.16hrs..I've just sent an email to the techies asking the above question.

I am just shocked at the pm... Just searched MissLindas posts to find it. Please keep posting comps hun.

BlackMidnight, I wouldn't have thouht it was you hun either, (((((((())))))).
My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly :)

Our Precious Baby Tianna has now joined our Family, she is much loved and very welcome, xxx

Thanks blackmidnight for coming here to clear that up. I'm sorry if you felt my post was accusing you of being "collective" that was not my intention, I was hoping that you would come on to confirm it wasnt you. However I was very cross when I wrote that post & I can see the way it might have come accross, so I would like to apologise if I have upset you.
Thanks to all who post comps :A :T

I agree totally with you. It is such a shame that some people go to extraordinary lengths to get their own way.

I wouldn't have thought it was you Black Midnight as your posts are ALWAYS nice.

Let's show them they are nothing but bullies and don't deserve to enjoy the use of the forum. It is pure downright vindictiveness.

Carry on posting Miss Linda and stick 2 fingers up at The Collective.

Terrible situation really. It shouldnt matter who posts competitions and in what format as long as somebody does. Generally i dont even notice the name of the OP anyway, I just enter, give thanks and move on.

I do think the board guide was somewhat rash in their decision to admonish misslinda, especially as the complaint seem to be isolated and from what can only be deemed as new user (though clearly they aren't).

It thinks it is obvious when someone regularly posts comps (ITV and so on), but for the rest. If you find a comp and it isnt here, then it's fair game IMO.

The more info the better IMO. Copy and pasting as a breach of copyright is a total red herring too. Competitions are a from of marketing and most companies couldnt care less, as long as the competition is finding peoples eyes then that is all that matters.
Total Value of wins in 2009: £900 appox. 2010: £730

Can I add - I must agree with a poster who mentioned copyright re. the pictures - perhaps we could do away with them? It's nice to see but not necessary and we do not want to get into trouble.
    Thank you all who post.
  • Misslinda, you do a wonderful job and am sure you have posted many comps that could probably have been missed on here so we should all be grateful to her for finding them.

I have to say i am not surprised someone has 'attacked' you as when you first started posting it did go through my mind that certain people are not gonna like this simply because people have got aggravated before about it.

You remind me a lot of Darcy on here and i love the fact that she/he (?) never has convos on here and just gets on with it - she/he is mysterious! Anyway mentioned Darcy because i wonder if she has ever had abuse from people + because shes quiet i wonder if she would even say..... (sorry if Darcys a man) :o

Misslinda - your piccies dont bother me, your postings are fabby & just carry on...

Alot of lovely lovely people have left here/dont come on as much simply because people such as Collective try and push them out... Theyre idiots and always believe in KARMA!xxxxxxx
Do good and good will come to you.
