Some people post certain comps, because they want to and it's just easier for all if they do. But they are regular type competitions.

Anything else can be posted by anyone.

See it, search it, post it.

I'd like to be able to say I can't believe it, but sadly I can. I did have my suspicions when I saw the post by "Collective" but hoped that nobody on here would stoop so low.

I agree with all of the above.

I think its quite embarassing that they have sent a private email complaining like a child that someone is posting their comps. Its just ridiculous!

It ruins this forum as its a great site, but people like 'Collective' and others make you feel very unwelcome. Misslinda didn't do anything wrong, this site is supposed to be a bit of fun.

Whoever sent that message, turn off your computer for 2 minutes and go outside. There is a life outside of this forum.

I wasn't aware that anyone 'owned' any competitions, just that we post when we find them...

And everyone copies and pastes to a certain extent, don't we, to be able to put information about the competition??? Why not have a go at me too, for copying text or posting pictures?

As far as the anonymous PM is concerned, it makes me ashamed to be part of the forum. It is one of the reasons I, in the main, keep my head down.

Having personally received a nasty, vindictive PM (when I pointed out a duplicate to save people from eliminating themselves) I've blocked them to all but a few users and BGs - extreme, but necessary for my peace of mind.

Shame it's come to this - keep smiling and keep posting misslinda

It's not hard to find who the regular posters of those comps are. Maybe they'd like to come on here & "out" themselves or indeed deny their involvement with "Collective"

I'm not a regular poster, but I am a regular reader of all comps boards, although I took some time out earlier this year. It was clear when I returned that some of the most prolific posters have gone off to comp elsewhere, apparently due to some similar behaviour.

I have to say that it's a sad day when anyone feels unwelcome within a community, particularly over something so petty. We are all here for the same reasons and no-one has any "rights" here except the board guides. If "collective" want to make the rules maybe they should comp elsewhere!!! :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

hats off to misslinda for having the energy to post so many comps! it took me ages to pluck up the courage to post on here for fear of upsetting anyone or 'stealing' someone elses comps, but I'm glad that I do as the majority of people are friendly and welcoming and the personal messages warm and helpful - it's just such a shame that there are some half-wits about who have nothing better to do with their time than moan about everybody else ...

Please don't let this get to you. Sadly there are some very disrespectful people on this site. I think it's great how you post comps. . If I find a comp and come to post it and it hasn't been posted then great, if it has then hard luck for me. I don't go around being rude to the op because last time I checked I was an adult and there was a lot of bigger badder stuff in the real world than being pipped to posting on an internet forum.

Lastly, as my dear nan would say 'Pot calling kettle' if your going to put an emphasis on one rule ''don't copy text'' then perhaps you would also like to see the rule that says ''please be nice''
