No - there is no way I need another 5 bits of tat in my house!!

Even free. I just can't see the point, especially as most of them seem to be marked so you can't give them as pressies without being known as a complete cheapskate!

    BD xx

I agree :D I can't see the point of this tbh.
  • I wasn't going to go this but I was up, showered and dressed by 6:30 this morning so I thought I'd have a wander down there. After a leisurely breakfast I hopped onto the bus and probably got there at about 7:30; there was already a queue of about 80 people in front of me and the queue behind me soon doubled. I got in at about 8:10, the cufflinks were already gone and the jewellery was a bit rubbish but I got some nice/useful things and popped a couple of pounds into the charity bucket (Bromley mencap). I got a mug, socks, luggage tag, teatowels and some coconut mushroom sweets.

All the staff were really nice, the queue was orderly and apart from one customer at the stall there was no pushing or shoving to get to items.

All in all a good start to the day.

I thought it was fun, I have been twice and will go again tomorrow. I am sending all the things to a friend in Canada to sell in a Cat Rescue shop, so two charities will benefit.
  • The Liverpool Central store was very well organised today. Not that many queueing at 08.35, perhaps due to torrential rain?! The staff opened up a bit early to try to get as many people out of the rain as possible. Very happy with my scarf, brooch, pants, tea towel and purse and I was away by 09.05. By that time the queue was much longer so I don't think it would be worth going in later today. Money is going to the Rhys Jones appeal.

    Today's haul of booty was

A tie (will be used by OH for work)
A silk scarf (for my Mum who likes that kind of thing)
    A broach (ditto)
Another tea towel - always useful
    A passport holder for FIL

All will be put to good use and a good donation has been made to the British Legion.

    A 'Win/Win' situation I think :)

You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.

I popped into the Llandudno store at about 9.30am today and they had loads of chocolates and pop left but nothing else. There was no queue so I got three cans of lemonade and two bags of chocolates. The money raised was going to Ty Gobaith which is the local childrens hospice so at least it's going to a worthwhile cause.
The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water
