I guess the easiest way would be to tell Orange you want to switch to PAYG, then when a better deal comes, ask for PAC code, and hey presto.....
I believe this would prevent me from accessing deals as a 'new' orange customer.;)
I want to port to my Tesco PAYG and then when a good deal arises port back.0 -
Problem solved - gave it one more try before getting a new PAC and this time got offered a deal I was happy with so all's well.

Post your deal in the Orange retentions thread to help others0

Welcome
If you just put in "orange retention" it should find it as thats what I used0 -
A few 'please's' and 'thank you's' wouldn't go amiss.
No-one is obliged to put their details on here so you don't get to 'tell' them to do so.:eek:0 -
I had been with Vodefone for a long time, about 17 years. I had different contracts over that time, but the most recent was a SIM only deal giving 300 across network mins and unlimited texts, my husband and I were both on the same account so it was just over £10 each per month. The contract was for 12 months and was up in January 2012, I phoned and asked if they could do any better, but no we had the cheapest they offered. After that we were on a rolling month to month contract. Just last month going past the Carphone Warehouse, I saw they had a HTC smartphone, giving 250 mins, 5000 texts and 500 mb data plan for £7.50 per month. I phoned Vodefone to say I was leaving and needed the PAC code to release my number, their retentions people phoned an hour later with the code, and said, 'No we can't offer you any better, that sounds like a great deal'. So I'm now with Talkmobile, which uses Vodefone lines, I love my new phone and we're saving over £5 a month between us.0
