Only thought I had, is if they are like that just for viewings....what the h8ll would they be like to actually deal with through to completion ????
No wonder no-one has bought it.

I thought that too if he could be awkward,or say waited till I started paying out for surveyors fees etc and then pull out.
I really don't want the hassle of that, sometimes it can't be avoided but with some people you think they out to make things diffucult.

Normally this would be considered immoral... but in this case, I'd be tempted to say that it's only what this jackass deserves.

Three random offers would be a little too obvious, but if people could convinced to go and have a gander (and point out some of the flaws), then it could do the trick.

    Um no, no they haven't:

He's not done nothing to warrant a 20K increase anyway recently, yes the house prices have def fallen but the home sellers and estate agents here are pricing some of the houses well beyond.

I don't understand this price range thing. If a house is prices at £155k - £170k who in their right mind will offer £170k when they can get it for £155k?

    Or am I missing something?

I would never offer the asking price even on the lower end anyway when starting off,but thats how some E.A's price up.Maybe to make the buyer think they got a bargain if they got accepted at lower end of price rather than the end.

Have not viewed it yet,but have seen it and it looks nice by pics, but damn £155K lol that would be pushing it.
I'm going see a few more next week and if no luck then it's case of trying some of the higher ones and doing an offer.
£155K is really my limit too,I've got £55K as a deposit, and £2K spare for any surveyor fees and the rest of the legal fees, although they could be more, never bought before so don't know everything what costs might occur, but I can pay any extra as it comes along hopefully.
I want to get the right house, and don't want to make any mistakes,we've saved really hard, and my Mum just give us £6K too as she thinks its about time we out of rented homes, but she says if it's not right then I must stay and carry on renting until the right one does come along.

I have been viewing houses only a few weeks now and been to see a house.Me & my partner said this was the 1 we likely to be putting in an offer on but all we been seeing been possible choices too.
So we go see this house and the seller is in,the house is on the market for £155K-170K.I've no idea what they paid for it,as it's sold before 1995,and I only know of netprices,Zoopla, and houseprices to get house sale prices.
Estate Agent shows us around and then we like just waiting to go and the owner comes over and says to us. I'm not wanting no time wasters and no silly low offers,I'm not taking less than £160K,I've had house on sale for a year now.
Anyway why if he only taking £160K or more,if the house for sale on £155-175K. There was a few things that needing doing in there, not just in need of paint and the usual.
We had planned to start lower, but were willing to pay £155K as that is our limit. So much for even offering lower than starting price.
Also I was due to see another house today and estate agent announced before we went there, that the seller as put up the price,I said we'll not bother today with that one for moment.

I'd have just nutted him there and then. :naughty:
