Viewed a house today - Rude Seller!!!

Estate Agents called me today to ask about what we thought of houses viewed yesterday. I give some feedback on them, like why I didn't think some was suitable for us.I brought up the guy at the house and I said well fair enough he could have said he wanted £160K ideally for it but it was his attitude about it.I said also the house just gone up in price recently it was at £140-160K last Sept.
They replied that the house prices have gone up,I didn't think there been any significant increases on housing market, not at least to warrant a house going up by 20K and he done no major improvments in the last 6 mths.
I think if he wants £160K he needs to have it on his listing 'offers in excess of £160K '. I said if he been selling for a year,he be another year at this rate.0 -
i wouldnt give a hoot what the sellers attitude was if yoiu want the house who cares make an offer0

Normally this would be considered immoral... but in this case, I'd be tempted to say that it's only what this jackass deserves.
Three random offers would be a little too obvious, but if people could convinced to go and have a gander (and point out some of the flaws), then it could do the trick.Tinker_Bell wrote: »I said also the house just gone up in price recently it was at £140-160K last Sept.

Um no, no they haven't:0 -
we got our house18 months ago after putting a discussion on the forum and the seller was ok but was abrupt, it was understandble as they agreed to sell but the buyer couldn't get a mortgage.
we got the house and we are very happy./
my advice is that you offer what you think it is worth even it is below the asking price and wait but do not let the vendor's attitude put you off.0 -

I'll offer £125k with the condition that the lounge is repainted before completion.
EDIT: At the price they want they're competing with these:
