Viewed a house today - Rude Seller!!!

Options
I have been viewing houses only a few weeks now and been to see a house.Me & my partner said this was the 1 we likely to be putting in an offer on but all we been seeing been possible choices too.
So we go see this house and the seller is in,the house is on the market for £155K-170K.I've no idea what they paid for it,as it's sold before 1995,and I only know of netprices,Zoopla, and houseprices to get house sale prices.
Estate Agent shows us around and then we like just waiting to go and the owner comes over and says to us. I'm not wanting no time wasters and no silly low offers,I'm not taking less than £160K,I've had house on sale for a year now.
Anyway why if he only taking £160K or more,if the house for sale on £155-175K. There was a few things that needing doing in there, not just in need of paint and the usual.
We had planned to start lower, but were willing to pay £155K as that is our limit. So much for even offering lower than starting price.
Also I was due to see another house today and estate agent announced before we went there, that the seller as put up the price,I said we'll not bother today with that one for moment.

They'll learn! Sorry you were treated badly. How short-sighted of the seller. Hope you said you weren't a time-waster, but with that attitude you weren't prepared to do business with them.

With that attitude they'll still be on the market a year from now.

Do you have a rightmove link?

Perhaps it was the ea's decision to market the house at the strange price range. It sounds as if probably the seller had originally hoped for nearer the £170 range, but being on the market so long the ea has no doubt tried to talk them into lowering price & they haven't been in full agreement.

Anyway, at least she saved you wasting your time & effort in making an offer.

There are plenty of other houses out there with sellers not prepared to have their houses sit on the market for a year hoping for an elusive sale at a price they dream of achieving.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

It won't let me post in link but if you go to Ward & Partners website,Select location as Deal, it's a 3bedroom house 155K - 170K and it's the 1 with red living room.
there is a virtual tour available of a little more of the ground floor,so not just the 2 pics shown.

I was hoping to get a bit off a home but way things are going no much luck.I don't really feel the house prices have fallen much here.

I'll bet he had a few words for his client after you'd gone.

One reason why sellers shouldn't do their own viewings.

There's a reason he's had the house on the market for over a year...

He stayed downstairs while the estate agent showed us around,he just come over into the hallway as we kind of leaving and she asking if we got any questions, that sort of thing.
She came with us,and we went to view the house next door.

I think the houses are coming available for sale, quicker than they selling so it's just matter of waiting I guess for something else to come along.

    OK, here we go:

    http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-17482081.html

If you look at it with property bee you can see they dropped the price to 140k-160k back in September, but last month put it back up to £155k-170k
