DO NOT USE THIS SITE.
They use an unsecured credit card submission form. Your data is not safe. Even if this site is genuine (which I very much doubt) your details are at risk.
You would be very foolish to enter your credit card details into this site!
ALWAYS CHECK
1.The address should start with
https://
2.There should be a padlock on the page to indicate a secure connection. If you use firefox, the padlock is in the bottom toolbar and in address bar the name of the site is highlighted in the far left. If you click on it, you get details who secured the page.
3.Just because there is a logo which says it is secured, do not believe it. CHECK EVERY TIME.

Lol rogue...we get the message.
Any chance of making the font smaller so those of us on netbooks can see more than one word at a time? :rotfl:
Update on pocket lint......
UPDATE: Due to technical issues, this site has been taken offline for the rest of today (6th). The company says it should be back up and running tomorrow morning and apologise for any inconvenience.Herman - MP for all!0 -
OK, here we go:
This offer appears to be genuine for the following reasons:
MicroP has been established for many years, I myself have given them a lot of business over the years. They are based in Accrington.
I have just called them on their normal number, not the one on the offer website and spoken to George who assures me the offer is indeed genuine.
Yes, there is a security goof on the offer website, which he again assures me will be corrected by this afternoon.
MicroP are the official distributors for Three mobile of their laptop deals, so it is no surprise that they are doing a dongle deal as well. (Try here http://www.mobilenewscwp.co.uk/News/138941/microp_strikes_3_deal_for_bundled_laptops.html )
The report on 3MobileBuzz that this was a fraudulent offer, not sanctioned by Three has been deleted. Wonder why!?
I myself placed an order via this deal and my card has been debited the correct amount by a company called MicroP in Accrington...where MicroP are indeed based.
So I see no issues at all.
This seems to have spawned from the fact that someone goofed and didnt make the website SSL secure.
THOSE SEEM LIKE GOOD FACTS TO ME, So I trust this offer is indeed genuine.0 -
Decided to go for it and used my Natwest card but it has to go through that 'verified by VISA' extra security and the payment was refused. Could try another card but that has put me off a bit. Maybe wait till later to see if website has security on it later
UPDATE: Due to severe impatience, I tried another card (Alliance & Leicester)with the same extra security - and it worked fine. I'll still be keeping a check on my account for a while!0 -
Wish they would hurry up and get this site sorted, I want to order one!

I have had a reply to the email I sent to Micro-P yesterday. They have confirmed that the offer is genuine and the dongles are shipping.0

Still no security on the website. Indeed it implies that the website is PROTX secured.
Funny that, as PROTX has been re-named SAGE PAY.
They need to fix that website if it's genuine. It's doing their reputation no good at all.0 -
Sorry to ask such a numpty question, but how easy will this dongle be to use?
Will it just be a case of Plug and Play as I don't want mess up my wireless network using Virgin Media? What kind of set up procedure will be involved?Numpties...I'm surrounded by them...save me...:whistle:0 -
Plug in.. software begins to install. When fully installed, it should produce a portal in which you can place your sign in details.
That's it.
Note: An educated guess.0
