I must say I am wasn't looking for anything to bash Mac's, I am a regular reader of hexus and and soon as I saw that it made me laugh at its amazing 'burning design'

Don't get me wrong I am sure that many other devices have had a similar problems, just made me laugh how the brilliant Mac hardware may also have issues.

As for the security issue, its al about about hitting the maximium number of users, hence most are aimed at windows. But consider this, if all you Mac lovers do actually manage to convince us all to go Mac then that will be the main target and then its bring on the security apple as it gets torn apart. Then because it nobody is using windows that will then be the 'cool' option and it won't have any security problems.

So maybe you are better off keeping these 'amazing' machines to yourself.

I have no intention of doing so that is sorted.

To me personnally to ever consider a Mac they need to get games sorted, some do get Mac versions other can run emulation etc. Hardware wise they are upto it but OS wise they aren't. When most of the 'Mac premium' is due to the OS so I am not going to buy one to then run windows as I may aswell have myself a few quid and have a computer in a black plastic case instead.

As for working out of the box, I have neve known a windows PC not work out of the box, could just be me.

Maybe Apple could just make there own versons of games like icrysis and ibioshock, they can have limited functionality but be easy to use due to it.

They didn't hack Ubuntu because they couldn't be bothered. If hacking Linux made the news, you can bet your bottom it would have fallen first. It also took weeks of research to come up with the Mac vulnerability; it didn't magically happen in 2 minutes. The ease with which something is hacked in these contests reflects the amount of time the hacker puts into research.
