    2. sorry, just realised i had capslock on and cba retyping the above even though it would've been shorter than typing this point...
    3. to input the result you click on "WebExpress" on the GAP site when you're logged in.

Makes you wonder what the 'target market' is. I did a couple of lunch-time meals ages ago, and won't bother any more because it just leaves me feeling sluggish all afternoon. I wonder if they get a large number of genuine customers eating and drinking these quantities at lunch-times?
I think it's to check that they take all opportunities to upsell, and ask the right questions, as each drink was in a different category, but yes I do wonder how often they get people drinking more than 1 alcoholic drink at lunchtime.

We were in there over an hour, so could spread out the drinks, which hopefully didn't make it look too obvious. Will definitely have to remember to not have pudding next time, to bring it in a bit cheaper. Am so full now.

Monkey, calm down! The poster you're referring to has made 12 posts on this forum. He/she is a newbie and almost certainly doesn't realise the difference between the two threads. I know it can be annoying but try to be more understanding when the poster is new - you probably would have made the same mistake in his/her shoes!

I'm slowly getting organised and accepted. Several of the companies listed on the front page say that they are not currently accepting applications. How often would you advise re-checking?

There seems to be something wrong with the Retail Maxim link?

I have completed 2 jobs, one for Abai, and one for GAP. I have another couple of fast food jobs lined up, and a hair cut.

I've had 2 notifications from Grass Roots for jobs in my area, and have clicked on the link within 2 minutes of receiving the email to find that the job has already been taken.

I'm trying to accept anything - within reason - just to get started, but hope that I can soon get something more than a £tiny fee for driving 15 minutes to eat fast food!

Wow! Also, there's no way that they can expect working people to have more than one alcoholic drink each at lunchtime, so I guess this now one for the non-working, non-driving brigade!

Depends what work you do. I think for journalists it's obligatory to have more than one drink...

mumtosix, try this link for RM: http://www.retail-maxim.co.uk/mystershoperForm.aspx

I guess it's worth checking every month or so to see if vacancies are advertised. Will probably be mentioned on here as soon as people spot they're advertising.

Also, *cough* fees in your post! *cough* ;)

Some of them might have a thing you can sign up to to be emailed when they need new people, did you see anything like that? Which companies in particular are you referring to?

Sorry, can't help you there, don't work for them. I presume you've tried googling them?

That's how it is with GR it seems - they don't have very many clients so it really is a case of fastest-finger unfortunately!

It's good that you're accepting lots of jobs, you will be able to build up a better reputation with the companies - and I think that is particularly significant with the smaller companies (i.e. not RE, TNS or GAP). Don't hold your breath on getting any significantly better jobs any time soon though!

Well done on getting started, hope it's all going well for you.

ABAI are great (in my opinion) so keep them sweet.
BARE are another good one (again, IMO) so register with them if you have'nt already, they don't do that many jobs, but they're good if you can get work with them.

Have you registered as self-employed yet?
