Thanks for all the comments and thoughts re; my MS tax (or lack of!).

I have decided to go down to the tax office - at least it will stop me worrying about it, and hopefully they will let me spread my back-tax payments over months or even years.

Who said tax doesn't have to be taxing lol

Just had a phone call from GAP asking me to change a date for a job from next week to tomorrow. They have offered to give me some other jobs to compensate for this....whats the betting I don't get those jobs:rotfl:

    TPAx

They did the same for me. If I did a burger job I would get extra jobs. He gave me two stamp ones at the same time to compensate.

Yep I've linked it with a fairly well paying Bluewater job-mainly because I want to check out the terminal for a future Eurostar trip. Hope it doesn't trigger the begging phonecalls :)

Just looked at the TNS airport jobs, but there's nothing on the date I'll be at the airport :(

If anyone sees an early morning food job in Manchester airport on 25th May, I'll love you forever if you tell me about it :D
Here I go again on my own....

We need to compare diaries and grab a coffee (on one or other MS company naturally) sometime as we cover some of the same ground :)

People never seem to understand do they...

But maybe they do have a point about your red ink, perhaps PMing the poster would be better?

Well it is stated in the title of the thread that it is for alerts only, but the posters seemingly don't see this (or choose to ignore it, i suspect) thus the need for ten foot high bright red text!

And I'll not PM the posters as I could then see I'd be "done" by the forum Police for harrassing members.

Well I feel harassed by all that red ink ! ;)
Have you considered a nice delicate pale pink ?

Seriously on a site of this size you'll always get the odd mis-post either by people who don't care or haven't read the header or are simply new and made a mistake. If you are going to get bent out of shape and start shouting (which is how those red ink posts come across to me) you're more likely to scare new posters away rather than stop the misposts.

I don't think a NICE private message is harassing and might achieve what you want...something like "Hi UKMonkey, Just seen your post on the alerts thread and in case you didn't realise that is a no chat just info thread so people don't usually respond there and you might be better posting your message to the Mystery shop chat thread instead to get replies. Just thought I'd let you know in case you were wondering why no-one replied Hugs and kisses the MS Monkey"

Far less net cop and warmer and fuzzier than red ink :)

    From the ALERTS thread:

Jeez, what is wrong with people?!

A lot of regular contributors on here have alerts set up to email them when there are new posts on the alert thread. I'm one of those people. These emails get sent to my mobile phone. When I see an email alert, i get straight onto the thread ASAP to see what the jobs are.

I do not appreciate interrupting whatever I'm doing to see general chit-chat and not a job alert.

Yes, it's a democracy, it's a free world, but I do more than my fair share to help people on here with the job alerts, so it's not asking too much for people to use the right threads for the right things, or is it?

Im really sorry if I have done something wrong - up until yesterday i had not posted in the alert thread as was worried about doing it wrong and i have kept descriptions to minimum as i think retail bare for example is plenty of data as means people can just go the website and check for themselves. if these sort of posts in alert thread are wrong and im really sorry and wont post in there anymore, i thought it was to let people know if you saw a new job that might be good for someone else.

Please don't mention the fees as it's confidential information.

thank you i have deleted that section of my post. i didnt realise i was doing something wrong as i just wanted to know IF companies reimburse when you are buying something they want you to assess. For this job in question overview did not make it clear so until I have accepted job did i find out so i wanted to know if this is likely to be the case with more work. it makes a difference to whether a job where i have to drive is feasible or not.
    once again sorry to everyone

But you don't have to buy anything specific, unless it's the cafe scenario, in which case you have to buy a drink. Granted, the choice is usually somewhat restricted in a petrol station , but surely everyone uses milk/bread/juice/magazines etc?

in this case I have to buy a set drink and meal. so it is specific and not just things like milk and bread hence i presumed reimbursement would apply? Thats why I wanted to check which companies do or dont reimburse or for which types of jobs do reimbursements occur.
