thanks a lot johnny i am waiting to hear backI really think this will be the case this time as I cannot see any reason why I could not do these jobs and my other queries were with what i think are bizarre scenarios. We all have to lie (or make up stories as i call it) to mystery shop as it is

I just had a call and was asked to do an audit - I turned them down because I did this same one a couple of months ago and it was awful - it took way longer than my regular audit with another company, and for roughly a quarter of the fee!
Please tell me I did the right thing. I feel bad letting them down and turning down the fee... but I really hated the job. It's not like I'm new to audits, I've done quite a few and have a large regular one, which is long but has a fee to reflect that.
I turn down jobs if they don't suit me. I work for myself, not the MS companies. I try not to pee anyone off, but when it is a job for a terrible fee, or something where I have to go out of my way then I don't hestitate to say no.0 -

I agree completely. It's like any self-employed venture really, you have to weigh up the time and expenditure against the reward. I do feel guilty saying no, though :rolleyes:0 -

thank you

I don't like to say no, but I have when necessary. Tbh, I can't imagine the MS companies would ever go out of their way to help us, especially if it would leave them out of pocket. So why should we?Dan

I used to feel guilty - not any more though!
Some companies really test my patience - I asked a question to TNS regarding some dates on a particular job and the reply I got back was awful - so rude! So I wouldn't go out of my way for them.0 -
are the car circuit shops a nightmare or reasonable. How did you find it?0

ive just joined TNS - got two other jobs lined up for july. anyhow was able to do one yesterday so i tried to book it but system told me that i couldnt as the date had passed. I thought it was a system glitch as why woudnt you be able to book it when its still the same day! Anyhow I booked it as today instead as with this job they email you IF you have got it anyhow so not like normal and it states you may not get it etc etc etc. They emailed me after the time I could have done it so not possible for me to do job anyhow so I explained - as I am new I do not know what is normal obviously and I did not have any contact details so I thought I had done something correct by letting them know somethign was wrong with the system.
Anyhow I got a response which I took as being really rude as well because I had queried the system and thought there was a problem. Seems like thats how the system is designed and I had done something wrong by being interested in the job  I was really hoping someone was just having a bad day and not meaning to be nasty to me as I am looking forward to one of the meals so dont want to have to cancel and not work for them. But now I have read your post I am not so sure :eek:0 -
with TNS alert about muffin jobs for anyone else who is new to them like me you can only take one even if there are lots close together!0
