  • CBM you are on an ebay roll!! I am still selling on Amazon but must get ebaying as I have quite a bit to sell now. It's such an effort though but I MUST do it!!

DS2 must be OK if all is quiet. I hate it when I get tests, messages and calls yet when I try to make contact nothing zilch!!

Hope you have a lovely relaxing weekend.

Just think of he cash you ds will be able to earn once he's graduated and got a job. Doesn't make it easier for you now though - thinking about him not managing his cash. But suppose we all have to make our own mistakes and do our own thing. I'm glad mine are all grown up in some ways - doesn't stop me worrying about them but good to know they are independent IYKWIM. LOL

Well done on the totals and the productive day.

    Hope the ebaying goes well.

  • Hi all
Tbh I don't list that many things on ebay - my target is just 5 things a week, which so far I've managed. Amongst the things that finished yesterday was our faulty dvd player which was going to landfill but it now going to Yorkshire, which is better all round really! I got a massive 99p for it, and £10 p&p which I really hope pays for the postage.
All is ok here. DS2 has now got his bursary which has paid off his overdraft, bought some food, and he assures me he is not thinking about a car unless and until he has a job. I'm trying to get him to agree to mealplans and sensible shopping list - as if I send it to him I think he'll ignore, its got to be consensual.
Banks etc ok, 50p on the scratchcard.
The training was fine at the weekend, there is just a little bit of record keeping to do for that now.
OH (no doubt worried about sitting still and being ebayed :rotfl:) helped with a bit of a blitz in the house yesterday, and so its relatively tidy.

Which leaves today and tomorrow's to do list looking like:

    Body balance today
    Posting and wrapping ebay parcels
Meeting today and tomorrow to do training plans (voluntary work)
    Haircut tomorrow
    Laundry
Menu and then shopping list; online shop
Making a valentine card :smileyhea for which I have no inspiration as yet
    Have a good day

Hi Cbm - just noticed you total has gone down again! Well done!!!! Under £2k now, won't be long until debt free day! You're creative making a valentines card. I bought OH's from cheap card shop. He always manages to get me one which is bigger and more expensive than the one I got him and then I feel like a cheapskate. But I still can't see the point in spending a fortune on a card! Glad DS2 is ok and not going on a wild spending spree with his bursary after all!

i have to admit that normally i would make OH a valentines card, but this year i've bought a cheapy one for him, it's still lovely though. Did think to myself yesterday that i must still make him one then remembered i'd bought it duh!
  • I had a browse and ended up seeing a fab card on fiddle fart.. made from a couple of playing cards. I remembered a pack of cards that came from a christmas cracker that are in our bedroom and thought I had life sussed... but... the cards are gone.

    OH has either:
    Decluttered them into the bin
    Put them away somewhere
Seen the same card and made one for me.... nah no chance :rotfl:

I can't very well ask him, so ended up making something that isn't too wonderful really, but its ok.

All is ok here. I did Rosemary conley video on Sunday and Body Balance on monday, and still have a slight ache in the top of my legs. I intend to do something this evening - but not sure what yet.
Working from home today, laptop is connecting sl-o-w-l-y to the systems I need.
All ok on the clicks and banks front.

Hope everyone has a good day...
    Cbm

PS Lemon Tree how is the sofa coming on?

Hi Cbm - OH still hasn't got me a valentines card and I know he'll end up getting it at the last minute when the shops are busy and then he'll pay over the odds for it. I keep telling him about the card shop where I buy cards from where they're cheap but nice but he just thinks its cheapskate! I can't see the point in spending a fortune on a card!

You all making valentines cards is making me feel guilty. We decided we'd both not buy them (I havent) so hopefully OH hasnt either. Just have to make up for it by being lovey dovey cheaper I guess but not the same as a card I know. Is this right after only 9 yrs married life :rotfl:
