my OH is insistent that he will do the car boots but come friday night, he's off the boil with the idea, so it just sits there for longer in the sheds. grrrrrr it doesn't half get me down.
just asked mum if i could put some stuff out on a table at what i was always told was a craft afternoon at here place, turns out there's only 4 of them and one person provides all the stuff and the others pay a little towards what they have used, so idea is a non starter.0 -
Hi Sun Addict welcome to the diary
Lemon Tree sounds like sneaking the stuff to the charity shop may be better for your sanity!
Going back to work yesterday was a bit of a shock to my system yesterday! Work was manic and although I ate my sandwiches at the pc I realised at 4pm I hadn't stopped for a break or even been to the loo! In the evening I had all these bright ideas about listing stuff on ebay/ finishing the four mystery shops / vol work admin / going to the gym ... but came home and dozed/ watched 'the freedom writers' on tv again - a truly inspirational film! That does mean that somehow as well as a days work today I really need to:-
Finish the MS - will do this tonight in front of the TV - has to be done or I won't get paid
Online shopping - done (lunch hour) but rushed so spent £65! Will have to make it last quite a long time!
Upload 5 items to ebay from turbolister - done, but had defaulted to 7 days so had to go through and change to 10. Only took a few mins.
Some form of exercise otherwise I'll have spent two complete days not getting off my butt at all- did the horrible Rosemary Conley video + some stretches at the end. I'm already aching but found it strangely enjoyable!!
So how is that going to happen then?! I am working from home and will make sure I stop for lunch and coffee, but I'm sure that come the evening I will be just as knackered as last night.not knacked - I'm going to have a shower and then make tea. I wonder if the difference is that I was working from home, had lots to drink through the day and no interruptions..
Not a lot to report on the MS front. Banks ok, clicks ok, one item on ebay has a bid and 2 others have a watcher. I went to Boots yesterday to get phone credit and some sort of moisturiser. Got totally confused by No7 who seem to have repackaged everything so just spent £5 on phone credit (and I did have to walk past all the chocolate to get it :A )
Best wishes all

i had lots of spending fun yesterday after work which meant i didn't get home till after 8pm so i don't know where the evening actually went to. But i do now have the fabric for the recovering of my sofa's, still two things which i may need which i will have to go back for but may see if there's a way around that. Now i'm kicking myself cos i should have just bought the narrow lining fabric rather than wait for the double width, yes it would have cost me a fiver more but i wouldn't have had to trek back there which is mileage in the car, and i would have been able to start the work on them on sunday which would have kept me out of mischief.
Got home to a note about the allotment AGM which is tonight, (not much notice hey?) think i should go but OH is working so i'd have to go to a strange place with strangers on my own and i'm a coward!0 -
How often can you work from home CBM?
Sounds like you'd get far more work done from there with nobody to bug you. How do you find working alone?Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:
TOTAL: £6,437 (04/01/2013) slowly but surely it is decreasing:D0 -
Lemon - did you go to your AGM? How strange to only get a day's notice - or was the date set at the last one this time last year? Does that mean you have an allotment? How lovely to be able to grow your own bits and pieces - I bet it takes a lot of time though.
Catspaw - at the moment I'm doing a big report and can work for 2 of my 3 days at home. I love it! The biggest problem I find is stopping working, esp if its going well and OH is out in the evening, I end up getting back to it. Also some days I don't leave the house; which can't be good for you! I find I am incredibly efficient at managing my work at home, and get masses done. While I'm waiting for the kettle I can potter in the kitchen and generally feel more contented!

I woke up today feeling really happy - despite the aches from Rosemary Conley yesterday - which I must say are fewer than the first time! I've absolutely no idea why I feel happy, but I'm not knocking it
Another day working from home - must get on soon (just waiting for the work laptop to do its connection stuff). Last night I did 3 of the 4 online MS - so will need to do the last one at lunch time today. The shopping is coming later. There is nothing else I need to do so should be a pleasant relaxed evening.
DF wise nothing major to report. 50p on the scratchcard today but its a long way from paying out. 2 of my ebay things have bids, and another 2 have watchers, which I'm really pleased about. Bank accounts are ok.
Cheers all

Hi Cbm
I often wake up feeling far too cheerful for my own good! Starting to think it's a form of madness! Wish I could work from home but unfortunately for me the minute I disappear for a second from my desk you can guarantee someone is looking for me. I only have to visit the ladies' and there's a note from someone on my desk when I get back!
Have a great weekend!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Waking up happy usually means you've had a really, really good nights sleep - perhaps less worries now that you are nearly debt free.
Unfortunately I'm the complete opposite to you when I work at home I am very easily distracted and go off for walks with my dogs especially in the summer.

So good to hear somebody feeling happy - not sure what it is about this time of year but it is always my lowest time.
That said I have been smiling since I got a text at about 4.30 saying my dd would be going home. This year is finally getting better - just need to get rid of the ice and claw back some cash to get me back on track - but things are looking up.
Working from home sounds good - think I'd get too distracted though LOLJanuary spends - £587.580 -
hi, yes we've just got an allotment, and the short notice was because the association weren't given our names until the day before the meeting. Yes i went to the meeting and being the mug i am i'm now the interim treasurer! duh they saw me coming.
I've got a weekend with my OH this weekend, he's off the whole weekend yay! i am at a crop tomorrow which is bad timing but it feels good to know we get some time together. I'll just have to make a list of jobs for OH to do whilst i'm out of the house.0
