I know I was wrong to go & collect the duvet unexpectedly, but I hope that once my friend has had a bit of time to think about it, maybe she will will realise that I've really tried to be a good friend. There's got to be a cetain amount of give & take in a friendship
Exactly Emily...give and take. She has taken an awful lot and although she has a lot on herself at the moment and may not be in a position to give much back right now she needs to realise that you need some time for yourself too. You have been a great friend to her and done so much and I'm sure once she calms down and is a bit less hormonal she'll realise that. Don't feel that its selfish to try to sort your own life out now...your marriage is important and you shouldn't feel selfish trying to sort things out with DH.
Big Hugs for you. x

igiveup well done on working out your priorities - thats the important bit - hope you get that essay done and then manage to sleep.
greenbee glad your reflexology helped and good luck with the castor oil pack - ugh Messy!!!!
holly you should be resting -go have that nap:rotfl:
MOF77 glad your Mum persuaded you to go to the doc - hope everything works out ok.
Emily first of all you are an exceptionally GOOD friend - you have supported her from the beginning and I am afraid I too think she is being a little selfish but I am sure its all because of her hormones . lack of sleep, the disappointment about her partner etc and in time she will realise that she too was wrong. The incident over the duvet is nothing to be getting stressed about - I am sure all new Mums worry about their little ones catching colds etc. As the others have said I hope Dh is just feeling left out because of the pregnancy and you can sort things out between you- give yourself a chance to recover emotionally and physically before you do anything more. Welcome to your godson! (((hugs)))

It wasn't too bad actually toots... although I haven't got round to unwrapping myself yetI really MUST get on... I've just realised I'll have to leave here at about 6.45 to meet my brother and have done nothing
MoF77 - (and this goes for the rest of you too!) you should NEVER be too embarrassed to talk to the doctor about something. If you are, then either change your doctor, or be realistic - they'll have heard it before. It's just not worth it. Hope it all goes well.0 -

Have got back from work, it went really well. Had a chance to ask lots of questions I've had since I started there in December, so got a lot off my chest. A colleague was helping me with my induction standards, so I learned a lot. Really helpful.
Am trying to eat every 2 hours today, to see if it makes me feel any better. I've been amazingly energetic! Not bounding around, but seeing as i woke up feeling exhausted, i'm still awake! Hurrah!
Emily, I really don’t think you’ve done anything wrong. Knowing a little bit about you and your DH’s health problems, it sounds like your friend was relying on you quite a bit, and that’s bound to be very stressful for you and DH. I really don’t see that you have anything to blame yourself for. Your friend can get support from others while you sort out your problems with DH, after all she has lots of friends I should think, while DH only has one wife!
We are all here to support you and be a shoulder to lean on when ever you want to talk/cry/rant/scream etc!
PS, there is nothing wrong with going to get your duvet, it is your property after all!
Mumoffour, hope your GP’s appointment goes well
Going to wash up during Biggest Loser and do some other stuff if I feel up to it. Not going to have time for my afternoon nap, which could be a big mistake!
Toots, how are you? Are you resting? Hope things aren't too bad"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."
