Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone. Have now got par boiled wedges in the oven and emptied and refilled the DW and wiped the table. DD2 well and truly fed up now so will entertain her and wipe the cupboards at the same time!

ETA: Well done Rosepink...been there done that so can appreciate how you feel. The only thing that got us properly sorted was a DW. Can only fit in a slimline in our kitchen but SO worth it! (I know not everyone can afford one but my lovely Grandad treated us to it)

    Evening everyone

Emily - big hugs - AnW'sMum has given excellent words of wisdom.
Nicki - glad you've found something to help your cough. I don't know why you cough more outside. I would still consider seeing your Doctor...
Rosep - sounds like you had a good day. I'm glad..
    Sunnygirl - happy birthday

Two more days to go..... not that I'm counting you understand... I'm the first one to lecture other people on wishing their life away... It's just I'm tired and, having handed everything over, just about, have very little to do.

Am going to attempt some flying tonight but all I want to do is veg and flop into bed...

Quite pleased with that - and I did it all (and the cloakroom too) before coffee at eleven! (Newbies please note, I've been flying for a few years now - do not attempt this otherwise!)

Bit of taxiing children around, and then after lunch a couple of hours on the allotment. It's a beautiful day, the light is wonderful, just my perfect sort of day!

Emily - I'm with Greenbee on this one, you've never sounded in the least like a bad friend to me, but a very generous and giving person. Hugs.

Toots - ooh, two hugs in one day! I also love hearing about them! Look after yourself, and I hope those meds start kicking in soon.

    Happy birthday Sunnygirl!!:bdaycake:

Must go do some work for tomorrow...

Just done half an hour of cleaning - and I have to admit I'm quite enjoying it! It doesn't take long to do small jobs, but I can see how they add up over time. It is taking me a bit longer cos it's all quite new to me, but a bit at a time is ok. And I'm enjoying the fact that it's good exercise - that's a real incentive to carry on!

Just had my tea and catching up on here before I go to work. I havent got all the kitchen finished yet so will catch up tomorrow.

My voluntary job manager has been in touch. They are starting a new project at the hospital where I do my meeting and greeting. She has asked if I would be interested in sitting with patients who are very ill and listening and talking to them. I am interested and the training starts next week. Just need to see my other boss when I go in tonight and sort shifts.

    Ive done a HHI.
    Cleared out newspaper rack.
Sorted out where old sofa is going.
    Put clean washing away.

TOOTS! You are naughty you should be resting. Enjoy your hugs you deserve them.
JillD Great news about the mortgage. Happy Birthday to your DH.
    Quillion Get well soon vibes.
MOF77 Good luck at the docs.
    Sunnygirl Happy Birthday.
Emily. I agree with what everyone else has said. I know sometimes its hard to say no but sometimes you have to. It sounds like you have done a heck of a lot for your friend but you and your DH are important. Im sending you positve vibes and hoping you and DH can work it out.
Soappie I think you deserve some you time with your friend Gordan.

    Check up on extractor fan
    Swap kettle over on Friday

About to make up some stuff to wash the windows - what do you guys find is most effective? I use about a litre of hot water with a little bit of stardrops and a bit of vinegar, put that on with a jaycloth and then dry with a microfibre glass cloth. In the flat we have full wallsize windows in the living room so any ideas are good.

Anyone want a HHC 18.00 - 18.30? I'll get the windows and doorframes done and a couple other bits and bobs xxx
