Once the bedroom is done, I then need to put away all the clothes currently in the airing cupboard (from yesterday's ironing session) and do another HHI or two so I get to the bottom of the ironing basket and can finally do some more washing. I'm determined not to do anymore until I've cleared the backlog

Evening all!
Happy belated birthday to Funfairprincess. Glad you had a lovely day and that chocolate cake sounds yummy!
Hope the weather is nice for you on your holiday to the isly of wigat soappie (I'll never live that one down lol - still I'm a natural blonde).
Well this afternoon I've planted my little grow your own veg in their pots (sweetcorn, courgette and leeks). The instructions were a bit vague - add warm water to the compost blocks and it'll grow (didn't tell me how much water to add) and then break up the compost with your fingers. There also seemed to be way too many seeds, and I planted the whole pack of the leeks, so hope I haven't planted too many! (The sweetcorn and courgette said plant 2 of each, so was fine with that one.) Keeping my fingers crossed that my Mum has passed on her green fingers and that I haven't just killed them all before they've even had a chance.
OH has been busy all day clearing the shrubs from the back wall as this is the sunniest place in the garden, and where we plan to have our plot. We went to Lidl this morning and got some compost (40l of multipurpose compost with something in it that allows you to water it easily + 3 growbags for just under £5!) and then we went to the first garden centre we went to yesterday to get a loganberry and a gold raspberry bush (OH wanted this cos it was different) as well as a terracotta strawberry planter, which I haven't filled yet.
All in all, a successful day I feel (although OH did most of the work). Still need to get some little pots to plant my other seeds in as the big ones we bought are fine for potting on, but won't fit on my windowsill for when the seeds are germinating.
Bruise is feeling a bit better (although it's still purple, blue, green and yellow and hasn't decreased in size), and I'm even contemplating going swimming tomorrow, as although it hurts, it's probably a good idea for me to try and build up the strength in that muscle again before it starts to seize up.I'm also conscious of the fact that my test at the healthcheck said I was unfit, so I want to improve that.
So far no work booked in advance for tomorrow, but that could all change, so will be making up my lunchbox and packing my gym stuff tonight once I've done the washing up.
Right, enough waffling,
