hhmmm......what some people will do to get out of flying!!!:rotfl:

lil_me what a shame you wonr see so much of MIL!!! hope the eye appt goes ok and have fun tomorrow - its exciting to be getting a brand new extra 'home' I am sooooooooooooooooooooo jealous!!!!!

I am tired of being there and tired of the travelling. I need a holiday! And I am going on holiday in just under two weeks time.
awh (((hugs))) soappie love. Its probably all the stress of finishing and what you are going to do thats making you a bit run done - I hope the eyes improve and you dont have to take any time off. Who would have thought you would feel like that -tired of being there etc - I used to think you really loved your work - but all this messing about has really got to you -its definately time to move on when you get to that stage - its friday you finish isnt it - are you off today? - 4 days left to work - BRILLIANT then roll on holiday and the start of soappie's new relaxed life. :A:A:A:A:A
Jo thanks for the amended list honey - I will try to be good! Hope you are getting ready for work on wednesday - make sure you have something easy planned for tea that night in case your are too tired.
liuhut hello from up here - how is it down under???? nice to see you posting - you need to link up with DeniseNZ and do HHc's (maybe not this week as she has had a bereavement in the family) and you never know what insomniac is about that might join you from this end!!! Hope you are both well and enjoying life there. take care xx
candyblue dont worry about keeping up with the thread honey - you will waste too much flying time!!!:rotfl::rotfl: just make sure you keep up with the lists and that will be great - pop in and do a post and let us see how you are doing - once you get the house in order - you will have more time to read the thread.
mozzy hope you all have a lovely day at the farm
fedupandskint hope you had a nice break and I am sure the house is not that bad - you will catch up soon
lizzyshep I am glad the others have answered your questions - the lists are just a guide to getting you into a routine so you can adjust accordingly - if you are not bothered about getting the stars then you adjust/delete as necessary - if you want to join the stars chart then you have to try to substitute an alternative job (just to keep things fair) - nothing is cast in concrete here - in the end we are all trying to have tidier homes without too much effort and giving us more time to relax.
As Jo and embb said dont try to do it all at once - start slowly and be proud of what you achieve and build from there - its amazing how addictive a clean place can get - take that from a confirmed slob and anti-housework -no-chance of being a domestic goddess person!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: One final thing , it takes 21 days for soemthing to become a habit - why not decide to start a good new habit - something small and simple - like making sure all your dirty clothes go inthe wash basket or hanging up your coat when you take it off -and if necessary put up a notice to yourself somewhere appropriate to remind you to do it - once you have that as a habit then start on something else.
mammamia2 and primula of course you can join us - welcome to the thread and the madhouse - I will pm you shortly.
natty WTG first on the list :T:T:T:T and have a huge squishy hug (((hugs))) I hope fred will be a good lodger and not upset the residents too much:rotfl:

Quillion be sure to come on and tell us how you are doing - I hope the op goes to plan and you get home quickly - you have been a busy bee doing the whole house so have given you a special award for this weeks!!! take it easy honey :D
TAG you will be ahead when the kitchen comes round - WTG!! You have evn done the scary cupboard:eek::rotfl:
doelani your children are not children they are young adults and should be doing more to help you and DH:rolleyes: - I read your post regarding the house rules but I think more drastic measures are needed - start slowly and try to get them into habits - the washing is a must -Tell them all once and make sure they are listening and then if its not where it should be then dont go looking for it - its their responsibility and their tough luck if they dont do it! They will soon learn and then you can move on to other tasks - dont be wearing yourself out running after them. As the others said make sure you have done your own and in time they will follow your good example. I hope the pain isnt too bad after all your hard work today - another reason why they should be doing more- I hope they do their own rooms???
grateful well done to DD1 - a nice proud mummy moment:T
holly honey dont let her get to you -you have a busy life and you do what you can and spending time with the children is far more important than cleaning - do some de-cluttering when you can and it will make cleaning up easier.
sexy that sounds like a lovely day you had yesterday - hope the bruise begins to heal quickly.
SSsupergirl Hi babes - how are you - have you advanced to the sofa yet?? I hope you are being waited on !!!! take it easy and get well soon honey.xxxx
princess jane - hang on in there honey!!!

have been popping in and out - blooming internet kept disconnecting again - havent done a huge amount - you will be pleased to know:rotfl::rotfl:
    have 2 xWM
    have partly filled the DW
    have put out the rubbish
have spoken to my mate (across the road)
have had a lovely shower and washed my hair - and tried to scrub off the RT pen marks!!!

I have those wide at the bottom bins so I just lift them, put them down empty and shovel the contents back in. But then creepy crawlies don't bother me.

Blimey! You must be strong! We had a compost bin at our old house and I honestly couldn't shift it an inch, never mind lift it (I have visions of Mr Strong lifting the barn to fill it with water :rotfl:). When we get our allotment I'm going to get a compost bin for it.

Hiya Gorgeous Tootles how's that 'orrible gullet today? AM I going to have to call out the cavalry or are you going to give the quacks a call? *mwah* thinking of you babes.
Yesterday was a sofa day, today I'm dressed ( albeit in my scrubs! ) and am sitting in the armchair.

No flying today, but I have helped my DD2 with the last bits of her space project, which is looking really good. *glows with pride and pleasure at clever daughter*

    DONE!:j

Can I have my star please Toots!?

Well today I have completed the bedroom list, done the living room and cleaned the bathroom after bathing the dog! Feels nice to be a few days in front after returning from holiday. Rucksack also cleaned and cover cleaned. A couple of loads of washing done, but not much hope of them drying as is dark and gloomy here today.

Glad I have done this on a day off and eases up the rest of the week and next weekend too :D

Means I just have the kitchen to do later on in the week and keep on top of the pile of washing.

Might make another batch of soup for freezing next and then plan tonights tea.

House looking very neat and tidy now :D

Thank you all so much for your lovely welcomes. Well, I stripped the bed and hoovered and turned the mattress and O.M.G. I never knew that we had a secret lodger under the bed - the fluff monster!! O.M.G. BUT, I am ashamed to say I did nothing about it yet! I am going now to clean the window though, give a quick polish and hoover. Just wanted to say thank you for your welcomes. :A

since it's a no-bottom bin I lift it off the compost and leave a bin shaped mound behind. I reposition the bin (usually right next to the heap) and shovel it in.

I have washed the window and ALL the bedroom furniture. I was going to do the skirtings and then realised that I'd need to hoover first as there is SO much fluff. I don't think it's had a proper clean since the bed was delivered in March :o
