Thanks justamum, it's a 'New Look' 6179. It was really easy. The fabric is a litghtweight cotton (?mix) that I got in a local fabric shop.

flissh - gorgeous top, well done.
Well I've felt a bit grotty this weekend but managed to get my bunting cut out and pinned together. It's not very colour coordinated as the remit from my 3 year old DS was it must include tractors, trains and Bob the Builder!!! very jolly but not very Laura Ashley :)

    Snipped the lovely photo
I hope this is the pic of a shirt I made. First thing I have made for about 30 years. I was inspired by this thread. Won't be no stopping me now :-)

:T That top looks amazing! Well done. :T

I have just crawled back from some nasty dental work with a head about to explode but now feel much better.

Jollymum - that bunting will mean 1,000,000 times more to DS than any old shop bought stuff. Enjoy the party! (& keep the bunting for his 21st birthday;))

I just put this on the make do and mend thread
I cut off the arms of an old sweatshirt and mad a short sleeved sweatshirt and I also cut the skirt off of an old dress and used some of the fabric from the top of the dress to make a waistband - added a few butttons and I have a newish summer skirt.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Last night I made a roman blind for our new bedroom... it was too late to screw it up tp the batten on the wall and thread it, so I will find out this morning if it worked.

I also made a cute cotton bag with a felt snail applique for my niece :)

I know its not completely OS as I had to buy material to make it but I made a Lego Bag yesterday inspired by a posting by Rhona Jean.

I used the cheapest fabric I could find at Fabric Land which cost 60p/m, I bought 3 metres and 4m of cord to wrap it up which cost about £1.50, I still have about 1 metre of the fabric left which I'm going to use up making bunting for DD2 bedroom when I get round to it so it won't be wasted. So it cost me about £2.50ish and an hour of my time (would have been quicker but the kids wanted to 'help'!) still cheaper than commercial versions! I would have liked to make it out of a tough material like calico but was going for cheap and cheerful!
    What do you think?
