He keeps walking into stuff. It is so sad to watch. Do cats get used to being blind in one eye or is he always going to be bumping into evarything?

I imagine he'll get used to it, if it's only just happened it's going to take some getting used to...

What did the vet say when you fetched him?
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Hi, just read this thread and so glad it had a happy ending, bargain at £69!
just paid well over 200 quid for my old cat to have what was left of his teeth and roots outs!

Anyway we had a cat who at 19 had a cataract and needed her eye removed, the vet wouldn't do it cause of her age, anyway my mum found another who would and yes i remember her bumping into everything, but gradually she got her balance and judgement right and lived till about 23
    after that!!

    Glad he's home Mandles.

One of my cats is virtually blind in one eye, but he has been used to it since very young and he is as happy as they come.

I hope your boy gets well soon. At least he's home with you now, which is great news!

She said he looked a bit blind in one eye. I took him back to vets and she was not sure but she said he looks a bit blind in one eye and totally in the other. She said the bad eye may get a bit better over the weekend but does not hold out much hope.

I rung to thank the lady who found him. she said she could see him out her bedroom window and he was sitting and the hobbling around in the long grass in the pouring freezing rain right near a busy road on the edge of a park.

So if you see a lost looking cat grab it and take it to the vet.
