ellio I am so sorry for your loss I couldn't imagine a day without our newest kitten. The only good thing is that you could now rehome one of the hundreds of animals who have been dumped due to their owners not being able/arssed to care for them anymore and what a lucky cat that would be!

Krystal - you say you live on a cul de sac, I had a friend who lived on a cul de sac and the amount of cats killed was huge. Cats who are brought up on one tend not to have the same fear of cars as cats who live by main roads - just be careful for the future... hope your little patient has learned his lesson and will keep away from horrid cars... glad you got him back :)

If this fails, you could try a feliway diffuser, might help calm them down, we used this when we had kittens and wanted to introduce a rescue dog to our home, helped with the transition no end.

That's something we were considering with our other cat to be honest.... She really does have a personality disorder and I think it's seasonal affective too! She's never been a lap cat but can be quite violent sometimes... Has really picked up since the sun came out though so we've not thought about it for a while... Might be worth just getting one anyway with 3 such different personalities on one house!

Well it definitely worked for us, tamed our 2 ferrals down enough for them to accept the dog, but boy did we know about it when the diffuser ran out and we didnt have a refill :rotfl:we had forgotten how wild they could get.

Thought I would share this picture with you all... When I was picking Mr Tabson up from the RSPCA my husband asked our 5yo to draw a picture for him...

love the drawing - that is brilliant!! :T

She should start a new line in 'get well soon after your accident' cards - he could illustrate all sorts of unpleasant accidents as a lasting momento of that unique moment!:rotfl:

'here is you chopping the carrot!'
    followed by....
'here is you slicing your finger off!'

    I like her style!

So glad it has turned out well for you,

My cat is always opening the front door but rarely ventures far, the odd time he would disappear for hours and hours then come in for all the attention and feed up!!!

I wonder where he goes for 8-10 hours??
