  • i am glad it has made you a bit more hopeful..... i am proper soppy when it comes to my pets! kitty had to be caged (no jumping, active play etc) for a while she would lay in the cage an i would rub her tail to get her to move it, as this not moving is common in cats with pelvis injuries.....she had antiseptic cream for her wounds. she is back to normal now and last august had a kitten by cesarean . hope all goes well for you and you cat x

Well hubby just made the trek over to the animal hospital to make sure he was ours and sign the forms to say they can administer treatment... He said he was looking well considering, got excited to see his Daddy and started purring... He did say though that you can tell there's something wrong with his back leg and it kept slipping as he was getting up... He's taken a cushion for him that all the cats here sleep on so he won't think we've forgotten him...

It's amazing how much of a hole is left when he's not here... He's such a little personality!

Glad he's keeping his head up.

Hopefully he'll be home soon, amongst his family.

Another quick update... Tabby's coming home today :D

The vet has checked him over this morning and is happy with his progress so far, he's happy to release him into our care as long as we keep administering his anti inflamitarys and take him to our own vet tomorrow. So glad!! Hubby's dashed off to buy a new carrier expecially (a bigger one so we don't have to wrangle him in) and a friend is coming over in an hour or so to give me a lift over to fetch him...

Well he's home, and very happy to be! Bill from the RSPCA came to £69 which isn't too bad for emergency treatment, 3 nights stay and all injections drip etc... And a bottle of medicine to bring home... Probably would of been that much just for an emergency consultation at our vets...

I also found out where he was picked up from... The house across the road... Which is a little intriguing... Means he was hit on our road, and we live on a cul de sac so it must of been a pretty slow moving vehicle...

He seems ok in himself anyway, very fussy as ever and although he's a little shaky on his back legs, he's walking fine... Will still be taking him to our vets tomorrow to be checked over, but hopefully the treatment he's had already will be enough :)

I am sooooo pleased for you!

I wonder then ... was it a neighbour who didn't know you had him? Must have been someone who didn't live there then ... surely they would have known who he belonged to!

Well, not that that matters now .. best wishes for a speedy recovery for him!

It's actually a house that is almost opposite ours... But has no windows facing the road, they're all on the back of the house... And believe it or not I don't know who lives there either... It is a possibility they don't know he belongs to us as we always let them out through the back door so they might not of seen him around... Plus he's only been going out a couple of weeks... I might pop over in a couple of days once he's sorted out and thank them... They could of left him to die of shock so I'm ever so grateful they made sure he was looked after...

His big sister's not pleased to see him, she keeps spitting at him... Hmm... might have to see how that one goes...

Glad to hear he's doing well and fingers crossed the visit tomorrow will be good news :)

As far as his sis spitting and not being too happy I think that will pass. Since he surely was in a room with other animals...she might be smelling the other animals on him.
