Put me down for 1 AF for yesterday, please! Beautiful morning, been playing tennis. Might allow myself a couple of glasses of wine tonight, when 2 of the 3 teenagers safely home, and I know where the eldest (17, girl) is and what time she's due home. Got loads of ironing to do now - there's always so much to do!!!!:rotfl:

hi all a quick hello & lots of well dones for yesterday! Jojo I used to work for the alzheimers society, have an inkling of how awful it can be, my mum also had stroke-related dementia, v similar to alzheimers but not progressive. You did fantastically well not to guzzle that wine.
I was going to start Tues but on reflection told OH I'll go home monday so hope that will be day 1 (it would've been dads birthday, still is I suppose but it's the first one with him not here, so a good day to make a new start, he was always nagging me about my drinking!! & I'll only wallow in it more if I drink & it won't actually help)

I thought the same about the swallowing comment, I must have a dirty mind too.:o:p
Last night the TV was on and my 7 yr old son seemed to be engrossed in what was happening in the news ( mighty unusual ! ) . He turned to me with a very worried expression on his face, bottom lip quivering and said
" MUM YOU DO YOU THINK YOU WILL DIE OF WINE FLU " . Bless.

    :rotfl:

Day 1 of being AF for me today (hopefully!)

Well done everyone and :hello:to any new people. I have to say well done Sleepyjo for resisting when you felt so low.:A

Hi all- Jo, go get the supplements- lets throw everything at this, something will stick eventually, I promise.

Winebox- know what you mean about anniversaries, my mum died suddenly many years ago (can't remember which year, the shock stopped me from being able to register it) and the first few mothers days, birthdays, christmases etc were so poignant- heartbreaking really, even when my little one was born, and my little sister had her lovely healthy children it kicked in because my wonderful mum wasn't there to see them, so I know how you feel- but I also know the solution to grief can't be found at the bottom of a glass- have done that, and it doesn't help at all.

Have a great weekend everyone, catch you later.

Right I'm back from hols. Which were great by the way! Not AF on anyday or tonight then I'll be going for 26 AFD as I will be ready for a long break from the alcohol by tomorrow. Also have become v.podgy in the last week so will need to cut back from the hol treats!

Everyone on here sounds bright and breezy. Will be back again tomorrow to see how you all are and aim for my first AFD in a week!

    Good luck for May everyone!

    Hi guys,

Just to let you all know that I am in the process of doing our May list :D

As I said I didn't get chance to log on at all yesterday and I've just logged on now and we have part 3 and a new thread so I am thinking that this is a good omen :A

So I am off now to catch up on all the updates and do my list, which I will post a little later.

So I hope you are all off to a good start to be a better me?

Good luck and I am off to do this list.

Lots of love and very big hugs
